    BMW Airbag Recall

Apparantely they need your key.... NZ new cars are supposed to get a letter (guessing this is from BMW NZ via the LTNZ) but no idea for used imports or when this might happen. Team McMillan didn't even seem to know about a recall when I called them...
  6. There have been a few unfortunately - 2x Korean, a Cathay Pacific & a DHL flight out of Bagdahd in 2003 (which actually landed safely) to name a few. Scary part is that it could have been almost any commercial flight over Ukraine...

    BMW Airbag Recall

I spoke to McMillans today & couldnt get any sense from them. Wanted me to bring the key in as it would tell them more about the recall than the chassis #.... Huh?
  8. No entiendo... Have you never played golf?
  9. Nice - this ticks almost all the boxes for me. M3, manual, nz new, lowish kms & badass black. Sadly it misses on the quantity of doors for my current requirements.... Looks like a really sharp car - good luck with the sale.
  10. Welcome. Fire up a couple of pics when you get a moment....
  11. Fricken genius. Never considered myself lusting after a chilly bin, but that ticks all the boxes. Right up there with the daiquiri whacker....
  12. Last night I watched "The Moaning of Life" about a moaning pom who travels around the world to moan. This thread is indistinguishable from that. Except he's at least funny.
  13. The 3 litre is much lighter in the steering than the lower models - its normally criticised the other way around in th 330 doesnt have as much feel... Most likely a UK import if its in miles.
  14. Milland or Euro Italian would be my first phone calls.
  15. If it ends up more than the dent magician can handle then Precision Autowerk would be number one on my list of calls....
  16. Automotive Supplies (Bosch), AutoStop, Batterytown, your local auto sparky, Repco, Supercheap etc, etc... If they ripped that wire out then I would be asking them to fix it.
  17. Cat scared the crap out of the bird?
  18. Cutting out at running speed sounds fuel related to me (had similar cutouts in our Golf which was the fuel pump & got progressively worse until it was downright dangerous). Is it getting fuel to all cylinders at cold start? Have you pulled the plugs when its hard starting? Are they wet?
  19. 4th from the top (not sure what they are) - subtle and classic design that wont look stupid in 12 months time.
  20. Guess its a fairly extreme case - the clinometer was showning 40 deg to port & 50 deg to starboard. Which would explain the ute tumbling end over end....
  21. Do they actually chain cars down in the modern fully enclosed car carriers? Not like they are trucks with easy tie down points....
