  1. I've owned an E46 & E90 (both non-M3) and if you want my opinion the E46 shits all over the E90 for build quality. My E90 has rattles in the dash & doors that feel like they were made by Kia on an accountants budget (both NZ new & ~100kms). Admittedly there are other reasons to buy an E90 over an E46 though...

    CWC...

sh*t, I just saw that Richie Benaud died today. What a legend!
  3. I feel for you.... 18 odd years ago i had my motorsickle parked at Auckland university (on the street with about 200 other bikes). Got to the bike 5pm friday after my last exam of the year to find that some lowlife f**king pondscum had nicked the left side foot peg. Made the ride home on the motorway interesting..... Found out why it had been nicked the week after when no wrecker had one & i priced one from Shaft......

"Canary yellow? That's Australian gold my friend and don't you f**king forget it" Wonder where I can find a copy now.
  6. Stereo without the silent reboot option, spare friggen wheel, doors that dont feel like it came off a Honda assembly line, bonnet sensor that works, front end adjustments that allow a proper wheel alignment... These are the options I would tick. Even my E90 diesel has auto wipers & lights - although the wipers are nowhere near as good as the Volkswagen system in wifes older Golf.

    $168,000 Cake

That sounds bloody pricey for a cake even if it had a $150k stripper jumping out of it.

Needs more Richie Benaud & Tony Grieg
  9. Depends if it was done by the last owner or is the factory sealing method. We used a 2 pack epoxy for sealing the back of bulb sockets that are used on many, many vehicles (incl Volvo, Aston, Toyota, Peugeot, Porsche etc, etc, etc) - but that isnt one of mine.... Both sides the same? You may as well chuck it out if you try to melt the sealant out. Are you sure its the bulb socket? Are the terminals contacting the bulb correctly? Tried bending them out a little for better contact with a bit more tension? If thats all OK, are you sure it isnt a break in the harness further down? You could bypass that with a soldering iron heatshrink & some new wire. Edit: just had another look at the photo & it looks like the factory sealing to me & there maybe a splice in the ground terminal
  10. Paper clip, jewellers screwdriver, pin etc. you should just need to compress the lock enough to release the terminal

    It's back S22

    When & where Clinton?
  12. Huh? I have an E90 that runs conventional tyres with no suspension or setup changes. What are they smoking? I wouldn't recommend only changing 2 tyres if you went that way, but the std runflat rims should be fine with normal tyres (mine were until I changed to a BBS wheel set). What i would recommend is a mobility kit (compressor & can of goo) in case you do get a puncture.
  13. Unfortunately those are the only two I could recommend out this way. You could try BM Workshop in the city, or Team McMillan in Newmarket - bit further away but still better than VTNZ....
  14. I replaced the head unit with the factory Single CD & then added a DICE unit for an ipod/iphone instead of the 6 disc stacker in the boot. This kept all the std steering wheel functions & no doubt you could find one that does USB sticks (maybe a Grom unit)
  15. Yep although you can also get these in the non-motorsport variant.
  16. I did something similar & regretted it. I had an E46 coupe & found it was a pain in the ass putting the car seat in & out of it - so I bought an E90 4 door. What I should have done was just get another car seat to fit permanently in the coupe which would have saved me $10k for the cost of a $500 seat.... Moral of the story is to think hard about the options & the length of time you will need the bulky baby stuff.
  17. Sticky throttle cable?
  18. Yup - a weekend knock together based on a couple of burnouts in the street it aint. Have to respect how dedicated he is to smoking tyres!
  19. I got my BMW mobility kit for about $160 from team mcmillan. I looked at a continental one for similar money but it looked to be a one shot deal
  20. No, not yet.... Might be nice to have 150kW on tap, but it gets up & boogies as it is. I don't find myself wanting more. And I have many other uses for $1200.....
