Could also be something more sinister too - like a ceased bearing in the alternator or a/c compressor etc (I have no idea what else is on the same belt on these). Get it checked pronto.

Just about as subtle as the old shoes hanging over the power line. Wonder how many of the other vehicles running around with angled plates know about that? And I wonder how often they are stopped and searched....

Have you thought about a DICE if ipod integration is your main goal? There are a couple of different brands around. I picked one up for my E46 on Trademe for $75 and it works brilliantly with the factory BMW stereo (all the functions work great, and I can control it from the multifunction wheel).

I thought that was the first of the VL Batmobiles in 87 but could be wrong. My memory isn't what it used to be.... Really nice VK on ebay for $88k AUD.

If it was a choice between an E30 M3 and a Brock Commodore (I still love the VK - even though I think it was probably before the M3 was raced in Aus), I would really be torn. You are dead right Graham - good australian muscle cars are a premium on top of M3 prices.

There is never a good reason to wear a pink shirt with a baby blue sweater hanging over it. Even in the 80's.

Yup - me too. Plenty of time wasters out there. Good luck - hope it stays in the BS family as it does look special (more so with the BBS wheels - gucci!).

Were the previous photos with the same background? Might be why it looks familiar to me... Edit: The photo with the car yard in the background looks familiar.

I have a soft spot for american V8 muscle cars - always have, always will. But that Volvo is totally badass!

I'm not sure if there is a worse way to go than that. Buried alive may be up there, but that sh*t is horrific. I simply cannot understand why someone would so this. Probably hung around to watch the mayhem as well.

Looks nice. Has it been on TradeMe for a while? I seem to remember seeing it before.

I have used this function in a BMW factory unit in Germany and it is absolutely brilliant. An absolute lifesaver if you can get an aftermarket version with it. Not sure if it works in NZ though - and not just because we don't have that many routes to get around the traffic (I think it works on the RDS radio network for updates apart from the obvious needing to know where the traffic jams are in the first place!). Jochen must know a thing or two about this stuff?

Yesterday I was buying 2 large bags of Purina dog chow at Wal-Mart, for my dogs Sherman, Brownie, and Millie. I was about to check out when a woman behind me asked if I had a dog. What did she think, that I was feeding squirrels? Since I had little else to do, on impulse, I told her that no, I didn't have a dog, and that I was starting the Purina Diet again, although I probably shouldn't because I ended up in the hospital last time. On the bright side though, I'd lost 50 pounds before I awakened in an intensive care ward with tubes coming out of every hole in my body and IVs in both arms. I told her that it was essentially a perfect diet and that the way that it works is to load your pockets with Purina nuggets and simply eat one or two every time you feel hungry and that the food is nutritionally complete so I was going to try it again. (I have to mention here that practically everyone in the line was enthralled with my story by now.) Horrified, she asked if I ended up in intensive care because the dog food had poisoned me. I told her no; I had stopped in the middle of the parking lot to lick my ass and a car hit me. I thought the guy behind her was going to have a heart attack, he was laughing so hard! WAL-MART won't let me shop there anymore.

I was quoted $900 retail (or ther abouts) for a 2dr brand new OEM front bumper from Jerry Clayton a while back.

Possibly the comment of the year thus far!

I think you are kind of missing the point a little. You are talking about disabling a safety system and hiding it. Maybe you won't crash, maybe you will. But regardless of the end result, I am willing to bet that an insurance company will do what ever they can to decline a claim if you have been anything but up front with them about it, or the modification makes the car illegal in any way shape or form. By discussing it on an open internet forum (don't for a minute think that they won't use what you have written above against you if they find it) you have opened a whole can of worms should you have an accident in the future. It's like internet porn - once your picture is on the net, you can never get rid of the evidence.... Or so I've heard..... Also, what happens when someone that doesn't know about your modification drives the car and has an accident because of it? Will the next owner and the one after that know all of the details of your tampering? Or will they find out the hard way? Car companies don't put it in because it makes their assembly process easier or cheaper - it's because it is a safety system that has been proven to work.

Mine is already a world mode business radio (old generation - imported from the good ole U S of A last year). And my current setup is sans nav - so more like the 8 hours and more like the $3500 that Josh mentionned! Next time I'll know better....
-
Ooh - bummer dude. You (or someone who knows what they are doing) will probably need to pull the head off to be sure there is no damage (don't forget to check pistons as well if there are bent valves). Good luck!

Ahh yes - their association with Joseph Lucas (the dark lord) was legendary. Can't say they have done anything for me until the latest shape XF. Just never stood out as one of those aspirational cars I'm afraid.
-
That is cool. Now just to get them to do it in Homer Simpson or Richie Benaud's voice (with appropriate banter).... Nav is on my wish list next time!

Do I hear the sound of an E30 M3 joing your family Jon?

You take it to an auto electrician and pay him/her to do the job properly...

I'm wondering if being wet makes any difference to the tazers? Like bigger sparks or steam maybe!

If they manage to find the pratt who was shooting, I'm hoping it will be attempted murder charges (assuming it was actually how the article was written). Enjoy your 7-10 years in the cell with Bubba. I'm sure he will make you feel right at home at shower time... Seriously, what the hell did they think they were doing? Waste of valuable oxygen the lot of them.
