They did do some, certainly the two in the Total BMW Magazine that went to Japan or Hong Kong or somewhere, and urban myth has it they made one for Denny Hulme which may now be in Australia. But this one will be an aftermarket conversion, probably has standard E30 five turns lock to lock steering rack...

Nice looking ride I like the Alpinas, I like the shadow chrome, and I prefer the M Tech 1 rear spoiler - more subtle than Tech 2. As for the engine upgrade, I think there was a complete upgrade package each for M20 stroker and M50 listed on here recently. Yes I have seen that article. And urban legend has it that "the Factory" built an RHD one for Denny Hulme - but it may have been a Frank Gardner conversion. Wonder where that car would be now?

Both need a really good clean as they have been sitting a while. yep i had look tonight, they are both pretty scruffy but would come up ok with a bit of tlc
