Want an E30 M20 oil pump, must be good condition with no visible wear on the gears, I have a couple of good housings so even just the gears would do. Oh, and a sump plug!

OK, so the proper battery has the ledge around the bottom, this fits into a section of the firewall that keeps the back of the battery firmly in place, the oem brackets hold the front and side in place (if you use two of them) and the extra bracket you have fitted over the top will keep it all tight.

Should be a Getrag 240, but if it has been converted from an auto, it could be a 260. If there are no numbers on it you would need to compare the two side by side. The 260 box is longer, and the driveshaft is shorter.

The bracket has to hold the battery both ways, cant remember if you have the proper DIN battery but if so it has the "ledges" around the bottom, then you can use the original factory clamp and a second one around the corner. But what you have built if done properly will do the trick, together with the one to hold the battery down.

Sorry, The one I have is another 240 one, the longer one.

The 260 gearbox is longer than the 240, so the shift rod needs to be shorter. I may have a spare 240 one, will check tonight.

I guy I race with has contacted me looking for info / how to convert a 135 coupe to race car specs. Apparently there was a recent magazine article - BimerNews or similar? Anyone have any ideas? I think it will be a weekend racer (Intermarque and similar) rather than for all out track work. Should still be an interesting project!

Have complete manual conversion for sale for E30 6 cylinder, has Getrag 240 gearbox and will fit 320, 323 or 325. Comes complete - gearbox, clutch, flywheel, slave cylinder, pedal box, master cylinder, driveshaft, gearshift and lever, fluid lines and all nuts and bolts.
