I like most of it except for the grill, but I think we'll get used to it. Agree with Josh. The pictures are of the base spec model. The sports version with all the good sh*t hanging off it will look much cooler. Poverty pack e70s/e53s (actually almost any car, BMW or otherwise) look comparatively crap to the higher spec models. I wouldn't ever buy a modern Japenese diesel. I've heard endless stories of them imploding. My grandad has been through a Pajero, and 2 BT-50s in the last 2 years both of which essentially had to be binned. After hundreds of trips in and out of the dealership to fix various issues he gave up when the mechanics couldn't get them working right. He gave up on the diesels and now has a CX7 petrol he's very happy with. He's an old school mecahnic and is always harping on about how good jappas are and to avoid the euros. The ironic thing is my parents BMWs have been 10x more reliable than any of the car's he's owned in the last 10 years. The euros (BMW) lead diesel innovation and the japs are still playing catch up - very poorly. Stay awaaay

Have you talked to Bellicose about the paint? I like the purple personally and I see a lot of value in keeping the original colour. If the rest of the car has been treated so poorly then it begs the question what kind of neglect have the mechanicals gone through? Although I'm sure you can replace every part on this car 5x over, blindfolded for not a lot of money so less of an issue than it would be for a pleb like me

Very solid effort mate, definitely something to be proud of. I wasn't having a go, nor saying it is impossible for a young person to work (save) their ass off to buy a nice place. I just find it odd when a 21 Y/O whinges about the affordability of upmarket CBD apartments. Even as a 21 year old myself that reeks of entitlement and impatience Anyway... I feel there's an economic shitstorm just around the corner with the strong dollar, unemployment and localized property booms all pulling policy in different directions. Add a bit of cost inflation into that picture and the reserve bank has a real mess to deal with. Will be interesting to see how it pans out but I'd be surprised if the housing market was sacrificed to the benefit of the others - after all that's what drove the last boom... and subsequent bust.
