  1. Our E36 did a headgasket and something went wrong with the headlights. $3500 at the dealers later...
  2. I'd recommend putting a chain (or bike-lock or similar) through the spring while you are messing around, and if possible attaching it to something else. So that if it does slip out it won't go far and hopefully won't make it near any body parts!!
  3. Perhaps whatever it was has made him rather high, and then forgetful?
  4. Meguirs Plastic Polish or similar? Apparently Autosol also works...
  5. I could possibly be persuaded to part with my Bronzitbeige Metallic 1985 320i Sedan once the racecar sells and I acquire a new car. 250,000kms 325i Exhaust Tech 1 Steering Wheel Near Complete toolkit Manual TSW Stealth 15/16" rims Towbar Rips in basically all the seats, but not completely shredded. Noisy tappets (haven't gotten around to adjusting). Brown cloth interior (suits the exterior colour well IMO).

    e36 + kelleners

Needs each "K" painted different colours.
  7. Hi guys, just wondering if anyone who may have removed a sunroof, perhaps for a series car, happens to have the wind deflector for it lying around? I'm after the one that pops up at the front of the sunroof when you slide it open, as my car doesn't have one. I remember my race-car had one before I removed the sunroof, however I chucked all the associated bits out. I would need any bits required to fit it as well, so if anyone has one it'd be greatly appreciated. Can make token donations, perhaps small payments or beer, whatever suits you. Cheers, Paul Oh, and it's for a 1985 (PFL) BMW 320i, in case that matters.
  8. 1. Depends on the diff, which depends on a lot of things. They came out with a variety of different diffs. How high is abnormally high?
  9. In case you need convincing... 550D with 55-200mm zoom lense. (I got the twin lense kit with 18-55 and 55-200). (High Res looks even better). Ps. I am nowhere near a pro. First time shooting bikes.
  10. I'm with sascha here! I have a 550D and I'm absolutely stoked with it. If you are ok with second hand you may be able to pick up an EOS 500D for cheaper, AFAIK that's basically just the old model of the 550D. The biggest reason to go for Canon over Nikon is the availability and price of extras, eg UV filters, hoods, lenses etc. From what I've seen Canon tends to have more range, better support and slightly better pricing. Anything other than Canon or Nikon would be pointless IMHO, as the support for any other brand is practically non-existant.
  11. Could be interested if I have the day off, not sure yet though...
  12. Cheers Jon, I did mean to say something along those lines. Although as the Authority card is expired I believe the new owner would have to apply for one again? I'm not sure. If they did then it's just a matter of taking the car to be checked over by a licensed scrutineer and paying a slightly higher fee ($90ish I think). Motorsport NZ of course will have all the answers. Edit: Just checked with them, a new Authority Card is required upon transfer of ownership, which does require an inspection by an A-designated licensed scrutineer or a Technical Officer, and the new Authority Card will be valid until the expiry date of the new owners Motorsports Licence. (Clubsport is ok). http://www.motorsport.org.nz/assets/Docume...application.pdf
  13. No it doesn't, haven't been able to keep it road legal as it doesn't have a current Authority Card. (Requires 2 race events per year to maintain the Authority card). It has however been road-legal in the past, Rego is currently on hold, and I can't see that it would need too much for a WoF. Sold as is where is however.
  14. Bump for New Years! Only $6900. Make the E30 race series your New Years Resolution http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=415114103
  15. Also saw this one, same day, but on the Desert Road, along the straights at the start near the Waiouru end.
  16. Bump! 27 watchers on trademe, but no-one has said anything yet so it's definitely for sale still, but hopefully not for long
  17. It is law that any lights fitted to a vehicle must work, and must be in good condition, otherwise they gotta be removed. So he was actually right...

I'm pretty sure Richard Hammond made it a law that every man must at some stage own a 911.
  21. Bump!! $6900 ONO on trademe now! Somebody must want to go racing on the cheap
  22. I don't think they needed a badge to let people know it was a touring...
  23. Steering wheel is SE too isn't it?
  24. Bump! Would make a sweet Christmas present for Dad/Teenage Son. Get someone new into the spirit of racing, and into the series! I did mention I'm willing to negotiate right? No swaps for wives/kids etc however.
  25. Something wrong with cookies? (Or biscuits or whatever apple calls them since they insist on being different).
