  1. Bumpage! Would love this gone before xmas so I can buy some presents
  2. "79 E24" cruising Te Rapa straight yesterday, and I keep seeing jwde30's mint E30 around, on my way to course and such.

Reduce pictures to 800X600 in size and then it will let you upload them.
  4. Yup, standard shocks. It was the same story with the racecar before I put the new suspension in. They are probably ruined though, i'm pretty sure they are original and therefore 26yrs old.
  5. Cheers, I thought they may be. My shocks are ridiculously long, you could fit another wheel between the tyre and the arch when it's jacked up. May have to try source some Bilsteins then.
  6. Daily driver just failed it's WoF, so I would love someone to buy this so I can fix it
  7. No idea sorry, they are just standard race-series King Springs. Albeit quite old ones, so have possibly sagged a little, but my car doesn't sit particularly low either. With slightly larger than standard rear tyres (205/50/16s i think) the wheel is barely just in the guard.
  8. Hey guys, just wondering if anybody out there knows which aftermarket brands (or OE equipment even?) shocks are shorter than thhe standard rear shocks on an E30 320i? As I just failed my WoF on springs not being captive, however they are the same springs as in my E30 racecar, which with Konis are definitely captive. Any help or advice would be awesome, cheers. (Worst case scenario, put in factory "monster truck" spec springs).
  9. Yes it is indeed, as per the trademe listing here: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=415114103 Cheers, Paul
  10. Same here. And cant get worse than 14-15, so I just go for the quickest drive, not the most efficient
  11. Insurance should cover it, if you have full insurance. Mine did when my car got keyed earlier in the year.
  12. Trademe research suggests "R" plates continued into 1993 sometime. "S" plates would have started in 1993. Suggests this car was built 1992 and registered 1993. Not that it really matters...
  13. Number plate beginning with 'R'...? Has it been registered later on perhaps? My late 1993 Telstar was "SG"
  14. Hey guys, so I made the ultimate mistake of agreeing to be on the Tenancy when I moved house with my flatties. I have since been offered a much better deal elsewhere by my parents, after having some difficulty in getting along with one tenant. 4 weeks after moving out however, I am still paying rent as the tenancy is a 12month fixed term. I am stuck paying rent until the old flatmates find a replacement for me. They will not give me the contact details for our landlord, nor access to the tenancy agreement. I am trying to sort this out with them however. It would be muchly appreciated if anyone who knows someone wanting to move into a flat in Hamilton can send them the below link, or even if you guys could just help spread it around a little, as I'm really struggling with bills in amongst this mess!! I'd better clarify that the reasons for the issue getting along with the old flatmate is that I am studying aviation, which involves many early starts, whilst they are at Uni and prefer late nights and the odd party. 15. Maybe cos they are cheaper? Whereas by the time they get to NZ any model is expensive, so may as well go for the bigger displacement.. Just guessing here .
  16. Another day, another bump. Even though I'm fairly certain everyone on bimmersport has seen this by now..
  17. Haha went for a walk cos I was so bored lol. I swear its the only genuinely nice place to go in Hamilton, and even then it's a stretch!
  18. Pretty sure I have a starter motor off a 1987 320i, in Wellington. Only issue is I'm in Hamilton, and it's still attached to the engine (on a stand) so you would have to remove it. If thats late model enough for you..
  19. Bump, must still be some aspiring E30 racers out there
  20. I'm pretty sure they call that stalking...
  21. Welcome to BS, your in the right place for asking questions, some genuine E30 experts on here. (And some fake ones too...). The scene in Wellington is generally pretty quiet, but it just takes someone with the guts and organisational skills to decide upon an event and make it happen. Actually, come to think of it, since I've moved up to Hams its pretty much the same here too haha.
  22. Welcome! Shameless plug here, but if you're after an E30 racecar see here: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=415114103 Needs a little work, but what E30 doesnt?
  23. No requirement, but it weighs a good bit!
  24. Apparently they can't be opened when there is pressure on the belt, eg when upside down. Although a belt cutter fixes that.
