  1. Oh yeah. They have awesome road feel. Made even better with koni shocks and king springs, but yeah they handle nice compared to a lot of other cheap cars!!
  2. Cheers for the new desktop background. Pic 4 btw Drool....
  3. Yeah i imagine i could too. But nah, compared to a 2L TT manual 4wd... I could manage a 318 auto too, if it was under $500
  4. So DEFINITELY NOT a 911 then?

    Facelift E30 Parting

Ok, allgood way too much for me, but im sure its worth it. Plus i'd want the interior lol. I'm sure theres plenty out there who want the parts anyway

    Facelift E30 Parting

Anything been removed yet? Someone might want the WHOLE car if its cheap enough
  7. I'd suggest you make a hasty exit if your gonna diss the E30 around here I have no issue with pugs, cept that one was expensive, but citreons... make me gag.. as they do for most people!! I'm 19 not 91
  8. Not quite, because it's the 1st of the BD5s it has a slightly smaller primary turbo, and only develops 183kw not 205, but i'd expect that to make it better on the gas? Maybe it needs a bit of maintanence then
  9. I'm sure i mentioned somewhere previously that i am fussed over looks And ugly just dont cut it
  10. Mine is a manual too (never owned an auto ) but it is terrible on gas, especially with the primary turbo spinning at motorway cruising speeds! And it doesnt seem to matter whether i drive it quick or gentle, it still keeps sucking it down... You dont wanna know how much money i lose a week driving it for work
  11. Just interested here, how did you manage to make it NOT a gas guzzler? I'm lucky to get 11L/100km and on 95 as well I'm thinking i will stick with the suby for now, and if i can afford to at some stage i might get another E30/E21 as a daily driver/project to go along with the suby, rather than replace it
  12. They come out fine with the power of the suby getting them round I also ride a motorcycle, so i've learnt a lot about using the engine properly to get around, and to keep grip levels up on corners I'm probably still sh*t at it tho
  13. Well I am a pizza boy, so yeah an auto would be great. But im also an enthusiast, and i don't know if an auto could cut it. I havent driven one, but surely it would ruin the cars awesome handling, by removing the potential for engine braking?
  14. Are Auto 1.8s worth getting? http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-276463917.htm Says he want swaps haha... but somehow i think im better off with my suby

    E30 Lean.

Yes they do. in RHD cars. They were designed in Germany, so in a LHD example then when a driver gets in the car sits level.... bit hard to change a cars whole geometry when your just wanting to swap which side the drivers on, like the new Mini Clubman with the 3rd door facing traffic on RHD models
  16. Yeah, thats possibly the more sensible choice. Maybe i should wait till after the Airforce Recruit Course (if i get in!!). As for the "nothings going to go wrong". Umm.. it is a Subaru, something will always go wrong Driving it this morning remembered how much i love how effortless everything is, especially things like Tawa on-ramp going North, none of the above cars would hit 100 by the time they reached the motorway but the RS will Choices suck
  17. Ummm... well i got it for $3600, put in a $500 alarm, $1100 cambelt and $1300 clutch and flywheel, oh and $600 worth of tyres haha, but I'd be happy with somewhere between $3500-4000 if i sold it. Enough to get me a new car and keep it running really Not too sure if i'll sell it yet, but maybe $3500 to a bimmersporter could be fair. Or swaps for one of the above mentioned cars in good condition maybe haha I find mines plenty happy at 3k rpm, due to the twin turbos it kinda runs out of puff at higher revs. I could be wrong also, but i think because its the earliest model of TT it has a slightly smaller primary, and very little VoD really... i mean its there, but my mates B4 is waaay worse!
  18. Yeah, i did notice that 7/8ths of the page was from the past 3 days. Only one thing can do that. Internet forums lmao.
  19. Mmmm yes i sold my GTA:San Andreas But GT4 has always been my "test" program for various cars, tested the Legacy GT wagon in it before i bought my RS haha, and it's surprisingly accurate at giving you a feel for how the car reacts. Even managed to convey the "boat" feeling mine has But the 2002 turbo fully done up is damn good fun too, skids wherever, whenever
  20. Haha yeah. I'm soooo tempted to get someone to check out that E21 Baur though... gotta fix up the E30 and sell the suby first no matter what i buy, but yeah. They are an expensive car to run and a pizza-delivery wage just doesnt cut it. Especially since its not stuff i can work on myself, too modern and complicated for me! And going back to a carby would be wicked, my first car was a carbied telstar and the induction noise was the coolest gurgle sound haha.
  21. Umm yeah $1100 in the end, and $1300 clutch + flywheel... hmm... haha, but its fun...ish..
  22. Aircraft Technician. Intakes in September so i'd be off to Blenheim for the pre-entry course in May... Whatre you going for? Yeah the Baur looks sooo tempting. I'd imagine i'd fix it up quite rangi to start with till i could afford to finish it nicely, but the idea of a convertable appeals. And it looks pretty damn good with its top up even! As for the E30s. Hmmm... not really a fan of the facelift haha. I know I'll get flamed for this, but the black bumpers look tacky next to the chrome i reckon (or at least on my lachsilber they would!!) BTW I'm also open to suggestions, but if you so much as mention corolla, laser, etc i will not even dignify it with a responce
