^^Yeah, exactly Had a hard run at manfield for the intermarques, rarely driven for 2 months, WoF expired, been sitting ever since and now it smokes

Hit some trouble, after a dead battery for several weeks i've replaced it and the car is smoking.... badly Changed the oil, now has some nice thick 20W50 in it, and nothing much has changed So it's become a project, i think i'm gonna have to rip out the engine and do a rebuild, or at the least do the piston rings... But on the plus side, i've started today on the big job of tidying up the disc brake rear end and getting it ready to repaint the subframe

Another question on the after-race buying rule... what if they car cost $700, and we've spent $1500 on safety... do we still have to sell it if someone wants it for $1k?

Dizzy cap? sorry... had to

+1 Looks so much nicer IMO

Just an idea, but you could always do it the way they run amatuer races in Finland, like in Topgear season 12, Episode 3. All cars at the start of the race are given a nominal, equal value. If, at the end of the race, someone wishes to buy your car for that price, you must sell it to them. No choice involved, keeps costs quite low and no "cheaters" putting in big budget parts etc.

Hmm.. you think IT is boring? I'm doing what they call a computer science fundamentals paper at the moment... algorithms and data structures Imagine calculus, mixed with the elements of time and space... But on to the real stuff next year, BSc in Comp Sci at vic

When you would rather sell your left nut then sell your BMW

-When you notice EVERY E30 that goes past, regardless of condition

I wonder if they do discounts for referrals lol, doubt it

And the AAPlus is fully worth it, they'll tow you right the way home, or right the way to you're intended destination for free

I think the issue is those who pay stuff all attention to driving anyway, and then they pick up the pone making them oblivious to anything happening around them. Unlikely to be anyone on here, as i'm sure you all payplenty of attention to driving your pride and joy, but i had a neighbour with a mini once... lets just say she was so distracted normally, that with a cellphone to her ear she became a complete and total nightmare!

If you've sprayed the supercheap extenguisher it will now be useless, cos when u spray them they clog the nozzle, and start leaking pressure.. so possibly someone may have thought it clever to test spray it? and that caused the guage to read low..

AFAIK his $600+ Navman S30 used to sell at work for closer to $300 But apart from that, love the seats... looks pretty cool apart from the chromes
-
No problems, but if u just go doto you're local supercheap, then theyll sort you out lol, look at me.. quit the business and still pushing it
-
If you go to Supercheap Auto, or Mitre 10 etc then you can ask them for advice, and i know there are a few metal polish products that are safe for chrome, i've used them before on my motorbike (damn shiny chrome everywhere suzukis lol). The one I used is downstairs, I'll just run and check for you.. Edit: OK, looks like dads used it all/chucked it out so i can't grab you a name sorry, shame too cos the bike needs cleaning again

I just used the off the shelf rust converter from supercheap. Cleaned up all the rust from the surface, then applied the rust converter. This causes a chemical reaction with any remaining surface oxidisation, nuetralising it so that it will not progress. Good primer on top of that, and a topcoat to seal it in and no problems after that.. well so far.. You can also get a product from supercheap, called rust-prime. It does the above steps whilst at the same time it primes the metal as well. Actually ends up cheaper.

Might pay ck the themostat, i had a similar issue in my E30 320i and it was just because the thermostat was stuck open, was still reaching 70ish degrees, but the guys at the parts shop i went to told me it should be 80. Temp gauge only covers a small range of degrees, and it turned out they were right then.
