Nice, you'll enjoy the power of the V8.

An interesting read. I've sent it to Ateco to see if they can get an 8C in under that rule.
-
If it were me. I'd book a flight and drive it home. You can get there tomorrow from WLG for $149. Far more fun than waiting for it.
-
iPod Touch. It's great. Never felt the need to have an iPod before.

Looks very nice. I too like those wheels. Photos not taken far from us. Bring it to the BMW Car Club thing on the 18th. We need some E34's there.

Alpha Apartments in town have some available currently (I believe). I have a mate who lives there. Opposite the Empire Tavern (near Skycity) and easy walking distance to everywhere. A prick of a place to go and visit when he has a party as all the public parking disappears quickly round there.

Poor spelling

Welcome. It looks nice. Those wheels will be a bitch to keep clean!

I disagree. I watched the fight. He was winning on points. If he'd lasted the distance, I'd give him the win. Friday did land some super shot, but a big hit doesn't score more than a hit. And Shane landed a lot more punches. It was a great fight. A real shame that he went down. I'd have been out in the first 10 seconds. Good luck to him for the future.

Good luck. I hope you have it ready for the BMW Club 25th get-together. If you paid VAT on the freight, you can claim that back and pay the GST.

Happy Birthday Andrew. I'll have one in your honour tonight! Enjoy your day.

No, there are plenty of S1 Elise's over here. They are not daily drivers though (as you've pointed out).
-
Very nice car!
-
Done, but I only have one photo of the 540 on the Mac. I'll have to find some on my PC at work to add.

BMW don't manufacture the X3, X5 or Z4 (to name a few) in Germany either. The BMW Mini is a great little car. The blown one was a little noisy as a convertible though.
-
Great to see a manual over there! Personally, I like the mags that aren't bottletops. Welcome.

Looks nice. Is that Coronado? It looks like a naval vessel in the background. -
Jethro Tull? No, didn't get a ticket.

Retro Products do pretty good work from what I've seen. NZ Autocar use them for all their work too.
-
Didn't know he was selling it. I must go for a run up to Golden Bay to see him before it goes then

I think the reason the 540 goes for less than an equivalent 535 is probably ignorance (no offence to anyone). A perception that a V8 will be expensive to run, repair and fill. Yes, it will consume more petrol around town (slightly) in the bang for your bucks stake. It wins hands down. A 1997 540 for $10k, "tell him he's dreaming!" They are worth more than that in good condition.

You can't beat cubes for torque, Jock! Hey, I'd love to own it.

http://www.bmw-z1.com/VIN/VINdecode-e.cgi There is the VIN decoder. It may have well have come without LSD. The 540iS doesn't have an LSD.

They aren't the genuine M5 Turbine II's.

The breakdown of costs seems about fair to me. The majority of the fault is due to the dick in the Porsche not being able to drive. A poorly designed track should be improved. The end of the straight at Taupo is a disaster waiting to happen. The Armco stops dead and you are more than able to slam into the end of it if you cock up the left hander and then can't use the drag-strip as run-off. Unlikely, I know. But it'll happen someday. I agree with Andrew on the oversteer comments. I guess they'll never sell a Koenigsegg over there. I guess the difference between an American sports car (corvette or viper) and a Porsche (or equivalent euro) is that they get taily over 5mph and not at a walking pace.
