Its nothing to do with "hating" or "purity" or any such rubbish, its all to do with you having illegal headlights which blind the sh*t out of other drivers coming towards (or driving in front of) you in the dark. Its illegal, and its stupid. I would be "hating" on you no matter what you drove, it just so happens its a BMW on a BMW forum. I couldnt care less about angel eyes, i think they look sh*t on E36 but its your car and your choice. HID on the other hand... read above.

unless the suspension is adjustable or the car is under 100mm off the road it wont need to be certified. I dont see any modification there that would cause issue.

removing the reflector/lens and installing a shroud into the headlights apparently fixes the problem of glare (like the poster above, you can see the light shining off the glass lens and reflector). I havent seen it myself in person so i cant confirm it. Unmodified lights glare light a bitch and arent legal in the slightest.

Welcome to Bimmersport Mark. Theres plenty of members in Akl on here, and a ton of information. Yes i regrettably sold the M3 a couple of weeks ago, Mark approached me and did a good job of convincing me he was the sort of owner the car deserves. Ill still be lurking, so if you have any questions just post up.

I concur. E36 is the worst BMW to try and match angel eyes to. The rectangle shape of the headlights makes then look crap. At least with the E46 the lights are contoured along the bottom and match the shape.

Hi, after selling my M3 i have a few things floating around in the garage. First up is a pair of plastic GT style corner splitters. Good quality, unused. Got them from Ebay, http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-bumper-lip-for-M3-front-Spoiler-Splitter-M-E36-92-98-/320964132628? SOLD.

Not nice recaros like the CL9, the evo got SR3s like the ITR but with an ugly pattern (and 90% are heavily worn) and the gsr got some lesser model.
-
They have Recaro seats factory, so no doubt theyll end up in some bodged together gsr/evo or something.
-
Out of the blue the M3 is now gone. Its gone to a good home and its back in Auckland. Give the owner a wave if you see him around, and hopefully he will pop up on here soon.

Y5DDCs are pretty cheap as it is, any reason for the change?
-
Looks like a good buy, they look great in white. Just a note on the tint, 5% is illegal and may cause you problems in the future.

We've had a customers brand new outlander and asx at work over the past couple of weeks to replace their stolen aftermarket wheels. c**ts would smash out the back window to get the jack and tools, and leave the car sitting on its rotors. Count yourself lucky on that one i guess. Ill keep an eye out, theyre hard to miss.

Mine actually had its birthday the other day though 17th December 1993 it was built.

A: Does this even get updated anymore? B: the original post has lost all formatting and is now 110% impossible to read.

Car is having a slight birthday (its 21st birthday) over the xmas period. I noticed the other day that a couple of the intake boots are looking a little worse for wear, so i have 3 of them coming over from Germany. Whilst the intake is off im replacing all the vacuum hose under the intake, and also the CCV and IACV pipes preemptively. Im also replacing the fuel filter and cabin filter. An oil change is on the cards too, although i now have a genuine filter for that. Some intake trumpet O-Rings too. Whilst im there and im apparently made of money, i pulled the front lip off becuase it was ugly. Now it looks distinctly 318i MSport spec. The lip was pretty average, and new ones are cheap enough, so i have one of them coming. The mounting hardware is poked too, so new ones of them are en-route from Germany. After that, ill be doing some work on the speakers as it sounds a bit average. Bring on 2015.

That reminds me, we've been doing a lot of e500 fuel pumps and senders recently. they have to be replaced in pairs as the filter is in the sender, and its post pump.... so its usually bits of the dying pump that stuff the filter.

W205 C-Class i drove yesterday, keyless AND has auto locks.... pull the handle and it unlocks.
