each to their own. No one is holding a gun to your head and making you get the plates. -

settle petal, send Andy a PM instead of losing your rag. In regards to the police hunting out plates, mine have been on the M3 for a few months now with no issue. I do still carry my govt issue plates and some zipties in the boot (so i can ziptie my plates to my frames to get me home) but it hasnt been an issue. I think the issue for the above poster was his own fault, having anything but the nz fern ends on the plates will draw far too much attention and make it a shining beacon of obviousness. The plates are illegal, thats a given. Theyre also cheap, you could run half a dozen sets or so with the police taking them each time before you get to the price of one set of genuine plates. Its worth the risk for me. -
f**k it, anyone with 10K came come and take her away. Want to play with a new toy but havent the space for 3 cars >_< 10K firm. It's a deal, it's a steal, it's the sale of the f**king century! Will come less headunit and will have original gearknob fitted.

yeah itll be week 46 year 2010. In terms of age theres some general consensus that 5-6 years is about the limit before the performance degrades too much. Some info here from a quick google http://www.bridgestone.com.au/tyres/passenger/care/age.aspx You should be OK for another year or two provided you dont have sidewall cracking etc.

are 328i rears the same? they also run twin pipes and would be a lot easier to come by.

#EVOLYF Not great reviews in that thread, looks cool but id be worried about the spindly looking bits of metal supporting the whole car. Doesnt look over engineered like id want.
-
oh im so jealous, that quickjack looks amazing. Whats the weight rating? Are they solid and stable at max height?

Check for date code, should be a 4 digit number, usually in an oval sort of recess on the sidewall. first two digits are week, second two are year.
-
id love to combine both and make an M3 wagon. Would be amazing

didnt know there was any club other than bimmersport tbh, never bothered to look further.

Willing to help organise (at buyers cost) shipping it Auckland, or anywhere else in the country.

i concur, i think they'd be the perfect application for a 3d printer.

As previously said, a buyer of an E36 M3 is out there with the sole intention and desire to buy an E36 M3. Too much money for the flatpeak bmw crowd to sack on its arse and matt black (thank god), but not drool worthy/distinctive enough for the average joe to know what it is. i dont have the space/time/money to make this a turbo project, easier to sell and buy something already with a snail on it.

Er, nope from to

i think that was a pretty common way to do it. Close the valves, invert head, fill bowl (usually measured with a syringe) and leave overnight and see if the capacity is the same. Not sure on what liquid to use, have heard water but dont quote me on that. Need something that wont evaporate overnight.

the problem with the plastic covers is that under them its f**k ugly. Car makers no longer give a toss about making it all look good, because they just cover it in plastic anyway.
-
i did that once, back when i was doing my vanos.... except it was a potent cleaning mix i made of degreaser and brake clean. Took days to come out of my skin. Embrace the smell, its the smell of a real man

havent really decided. Will be whatever takes my fancy first. Must be turbo and manual. Thinking i should be responsible and buy something cheap and cheerful and put the rest in savings.... but im not really a responsible person so who knows.
-
ive still only had the one person bother to view. Im sure if anyone else were to view, itd be sold. Im kinda over trying to sell it and it pains me to sell it for so little, but its just time to move onto car number 42 (or as the better half would prefer, buy a house)

well, trying anyway. Had a few enquiries but no one seems to have any money. Had heaps of offers for swaps... but mainly for E36 325s with snitchel kits >_<
