Still forsale. In no hurry to sell, but would love to be able to start my new project. Now has black leather arm rest fitted, and is sitting on just under 83,000k. No longer accepting swaps, cash only. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=438703524

My armrest arrived today, so decided to fit it. The bits Before (with leather boot pulled up for removal) Chopping up my carpet Just some rubbish OEM screws with sleeves yo After a mish, bracket installed Surround installed And the completed result Very comfy, dont know why all E36s didnt come with it. Was a mission getting the black on black console/leather too.

Yeah it's all good. Turns out the brake circuit error was only recurring due to faulty 3rd party switches (got to the point where I lost all brake lights, and you could wiggle the switch housing and they'd come back on and off). Fit a genuine switch and hasn't been an issue since.

Long time no post. 10/11/11 Small update, Finally got my gearboot sorted, and woah it makes a huge difference in looks and sound (much less road noise). Interior is finally complete Ive also been having issues with the check control bitching about my brake circuit, so fitted a new brake switch (known issue on E36s). Also ticked over 80,000km after work today! 12/11/11 Still got the check control brake circuit error after replacing the switch.... and about two months ago the boot stopped locking with the central locking (when locking car doors boot previously locked too). Having done some digging, seems there is a serious known issue with E36s where the wiring loom into the boot lid degrades over time and the insulation on wires cracks so they can short and if its left long enough, the wires themselves will break. Armed with the knowledge of what to look for, i got home from work and dove in, not knowing for sure what horrors i would find. This is what i found, So all in all, not bad. One snapped wire, and a couple of others that had snapped insulation. Got out the soldering iron and went to work. Rejoined the broken wire, reenforced another and reinsulated the lot. Put it all back together, and yay my boot lock works with central locking again (first world issues, having to use the key to unlock my boot!). Havent been for a decent drive yet so dont know if it fixed the brake circuit issue, but according to the interwebnets it should. Oh, and lols, 13/11/11 Gave her a scrub and replaced the front roundell finally. 1/1/12 Just a small update really, finally tinted my fogs, but confirmed my suspicions.... one fog is OEM ZKW the other is knock off Depo >_<. Gotta replace one or the other as the beam pattern is vastly different. Also just paid for a black leather arm rest assembly, so that should show up some time this week. And since im spending money, i also purchased a carsoft scanner so i can read my codes and stuff (which is also in the mail). Ive been in touch with BimmerWorld regarding their stealth under panels, as my under plastics are all sh*t and zip tied up. I want to either replace the plastics or fit one of those panels when i take the front bumper off to fit my M3 mesh. Done about 10,000km since getting the car now.

Sorted on the arm rest front.

uh, Less leverage, harder to shift/more force required....?
-
Im guessing its this one, http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/...n-429042455.htm

Lol, was thinking the same thing with the bumper! Looks like a damn good buy, very tidy and low as ks. I remember in another thread you mentioned the leather is just seat covers, what are the seats like under them?
-
Actually thinking about it, i would settle for just an arm rest, without cup holders. The armrest is the main thing.
-
Hi, After a black arm rest for my coupe, must include all the trim and screws etc, and be in good condition. Prefer leather, but will consider anything. Also looking for cup holders to go with it. Let me know if you have one around that you want to sell.
-
wow that seems like a LOAD of car for little money. GL with sale!
-
all i can tell from that is it doesnt have the motorsport side moldings or wheels Looks like a nice straight body
-
yup, looks like the one i saw, wasnt too sure on the plate when i saw it (only caught a glimpse of the plate) but that makes sense. DROOL.
-
yeah, build sheet. Lift up rear seat cushion and see if there is the bit of paper still stapled to the underside. The seats are a pretty good giveaway but as mentioned pretty much anything could be specced to any model E36.
-
coupe? how much for the shocks and springs? dont have a center arm rest or cupholders? Edit, looks like a sedan if its the one in the avatar pic. Oh, and missed the bit about texting. Epic fails >_<.

Spotted what appeared to be a RHD black E30 M3 heading up Taranaki St yesterday....

the market is quite simply dead at the moment... Looks like a very well looked after example. Not sure on the angel eyes personally, but very nice overall.
-
woah, thats a stupidly cheap price O_o This car is awesome, and so much works gone into it.

My getrag from a 318iS is also reasonably stiff to change. Not to the point of forcing it into gear, but you can feel it click into gear. Looking around the webs, seems its reasonably normal, as long as it isnt crunching or popping out. Make sure its running the correct fluid as when i get the box first fitted it had been filled with MTF when its specced as ATF, it was a real pain to shift until the fluid got changed over. Also be an idea to bleed the clutch. Do 318iS's have the clutch delay valve like M3s?

Its been converted to manual, with lightened single mass flywheel 81,000k on the clock ATM 2.5L straight six Half leather completely black interior (to rips or major stains, just the odd small mark) Motorsport kit and suspension Runs great, uses no oil or coolant, never smokes, etc etc Regularly serviced, ive just done plugs, oil, filter, and shifter bushings. Sunroof All factory BMW parts used. They claimed the conversion had 90,000k on it, but i dont have anything to prove that claim. The shifter bushes and oil seal that i just changed were all BMW gear from Pelicanparts.com Just had two new front lower control arms, ball joints and nolathane bushes fitted. Also had wheel alignment done afterwards. Heres my trademe listing http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=427239947

Theres a couple of ways to reinstall safari, but sounds like you may have fixed it anyway. Worst comes to worst, change to Chrome FYI, i use multiple Macs daily, and service macs for a living... Adobe aint an issue (other than flash not coming pre-installed on new macs, but its a free download).

I dont get it...?

Had what appeared to be the Messerschmitt E30 behind me down the gorge this morning... looks freakin awesome

Last time i asked genuine ones were only about $120+gst from Jeff Grey here in welly. I want to get one but concerned about having to mount it (and ripping it off going into/out of my driveway)
