Flew through its WOF at VTNZ this morning.

1999 BMW 323i E46 Got a car lined up to buy, keen to sell, make me an offer Drives great, good on gas and awesome for open road driving. Much better engine than the gutless 318i or 320i. Tidy inside and out, straight body, minor scuff here and there. Small patch of wear on edge of drivers seat, otherwise tidy. Engine and trans work well. Engine very strong, plenty of power when needed but good on gas when puttering around. Engine has just had oil and filter changed. Brand new intake pipes from AFM to throttle body just fitted due to split (replaced since photo was taken). All electrics work, windows, sunroof and aircon included. Interior has the much nicer gloss black trim, not the terrible wood trim most have. Currently fitted with staggered genuine BMW motorsport (Style 68) wheels, 17x7.5 front, 17x8.5 rear with very good tires all around. Huge difference in ride and handling, not to mention looks. Could sell cheaper on the standard 15" alloy wheels (as seen in a couple of pictures), with good tread tires. Not interested in swaps, need cash. Ah sh*t that sucks, they looked SOOO good on that car I guess it didnt get locking bolts fitted after i sold it? Theyre 18" reps, 7 or 7.5 wide i think. BMW center caps but no ///M stickers when i sold it (had the recess but nothing in them).

Damn E34s are good looking cars, even after all these years!

Ive got horrible standard 15" alloys at the moment, and the rear tires wont get through a WOF (sidewall cracks) so instead of keeping these wheels and chucking new tires on im looking for something bigger and better. Car is an PFL E46 sedan, tires MUST be warrantable, preferably with decent tread, not so fussed about brand. Wheels, prefer 16" or 17", and prefer OEM BMW wheels (but will look at aftermarket ones depending on style). No chromes or 15". Pickup in Wellington/kapiti/Wairarapa areas only, not going to bother with shipping and want to inspect before purchasing.

Not sure if anyone else has pointed it out yet, only skim read, but the cheap one in CHCH isnt a full motorsport package. The original owner ticked some of the boxes but not all. Doesnt have the full motorsport bodykit, only the front. The wheels should be style 66s for a motorsport package.

Link in OP works for me. Looks tidy enough, shame about the bonnet though. Few bumps here and there from the pics but nothing glaringly obvious. Wonder if it has any receipts/paperwork/history... might be wishful thinking.

How much work would it be to get an M engine back in there? Is all thats required the engine and ECU or do you need to change looms etc? Looks like it has the 328i custer?

Sadly a car is only worth what someone is willing to pay, no matter what its been valued at. Love the colour, very nice car and a tidy example.

47 is probably fairly close to the MAX pressure for that sized tire. Remember pressures increase as tire heats. IIRC on my old E39 there was a sticker in the door jam that listed all the tire pressures for different sized wheel/tire combos (including 17").

I wonder what they mean by "Minimal Rust**"...
