Im curious as to why a 99 E39 doesnt have steptronic, was that an optional extra? Thought at that age they all had it. Also note that there is an error code logged on the OBC. Could be something as simple as low washer fluid, or not. The blue one looks very neglected, would not touch.

Up here in wellington i priced up getting the front bumper of my old Hellrot E36 repainted. Excluding removing/refitting, or blending to other panels, i was looking at a touch over $300. For large panels like that you would want to blend them (especially the bonnet), and paint costs will depend on the colour.

Interesting, first E34 i have heard of that came with run flats. Moot point, but interesting to me. jebus, 108,000ks is now considered high mileage?!
-
i assume this is the same M5, in his other listing.
-
Surely a dealer would stock them for next to nothing?
-
I would have thought it was pretty self explanatory.... Ray converted it from SMG to manual for the client/seller?
-
As mentioned, definately check for the jatco jerk. Mine was a big thump (and holding gear for longer than normal) changing from first to second gear and was worse at high rpm/throttle. It got to the point i couldnt trust it to get me across a busy intersection, so had to convert to manual. A thump is not normal. I thought nothing of it when i test drove the car.

Its a + paddle for sure,

There are two types of inverter cable depending on age of the preuni white macbook, you may need to swap that over if you get a different one to your existing one. Otherwise all the panels are the same.
-
they have since said that it was rebuilt due to failed cambelt and done under mechanical warranty. Appears more cosmetically ruined than anything, so could be tidied up with some work. Seeing what other verts are going for, could be worth it.

My e46 counts down the km to the next service, doesnt have coloured blocks like my e36 and e39 had. Could it be check control picking up on aftermarket lights or something? A picture of what you mean would help.
-
How on earth do you keep getting all these awesome cars?! 635, 540it and now the M5
-
jeez, a bit overboard with the HDR on those photos....

Its not this one is it? http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/...n-575681400.htm

That interior is ghastly.... could be the top notch pictures, but the red isnt very nice to look at.
-
with the e46 SMG boxes, are they like the E36 ones where you can convert the actual SMG box to manual and just get rid of the SMG bits? Might be a bit cheaper than replacing the whole box?
-
Looks like it'd suit an old 80s car perfectly....

South African import, and WTF is with the VIN report? No options, missing data. 1999 BMW 323i E46 Got a car lined up to buy, keen to sell, make me an offer Drives great, good on gas and awesome for open road driving. Much better engine than the gutless 318i or 320i. Tidy inside and out, straight body, minor scuff here and there. Small patch of wear on edge of drivers seat, otherwise tidy. Engine and trans work well. Engine very strong, plenty of power when needed but good on gas when puttering around. Engine has just had oil and filter changed. Brand new intake pipes from AFM to throttle body just fitted due to split (replaced since photo was taken). All electrics work, windows, sunroof and aircon included. Interior has the much nicer gloss black trim, not the terrible wood trim most have. Currently fitted with staggered genuine BMW motorsport (Style 68) wheels, 17x7.5 front, 17x8.5 rear with very good tires all around. Huge difference in ride and handling, not to mention looks. Could sell cheaper on the standard 15" alloy wheels (as seen in a couple of pictures), with good tread tires. Not interested in swaps, need cash. No time wasters please, proof of funds required. $5500 with the 17" motorsport wheels http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=571344994

Good result. Keen to see it with the new wheels. Pics!

Agreed, id almost bet on them harvesting parts for their own E36.... taking parts specific to E36, likely using an E36 jack
