Very likely, but sarcasm doesnt work very well on the interwebs

Some d*ck spray painted the back wheel.... In all seriousness, would there be much good left? Dash is poked, wouldnt trust the front seats, engines probably poked. Rear end and maybe gearbox OK?

Ah sh*t that sucks, they looked SOOO good on that car I guess it didnt get locking bolts fitted after i sold it? Theyre 18" reps, 7 or 7.5 wide i think. BMW center caps but no ///M stickers when i sold it (had the recess but nothing in them).

Damn E34s are good looking cars, even after all these years!
-
Thats a real shame, looks tidy as otherwise!
-
I dont like his "As there may be isssues with the car, I strongly advise you to inspect." line.

Ive got horrible standard 15" alloys at the moment, and the rear tires wont get through a WOF (sidewall cracks) so instead of keeping these wheels and chucking new tires on im looking for something bigger and better. Car is an PFL E46 sedan, tires MUST be warrantable, preferably with decent tread, not so fussed about brand. Wheels, prefer 16" or 17", and prefer OEM BMW wheels (but will look at aftermarket ones depending on style). No chromes or 15". Pickup in Wellington/kapiti/Wairarapa areas only, not going to bother with shipping and want to inspect before purchasing.

Not sure if anyone else has pointed it out yet, only skim read, but the cheap one in CHCH isnt a full motorsport package. The original owner ticked some of the boxes but not all. Doesnt have the full motorsport bodykit, only the front. The wheels should be style 66s for a motorsport package.

Link in OP works for me. Looks tidy enough, shame about the bonnet though. Few bumps here and there from the pics but nothing glaringly obvious. Wonder if it has any receipts/paperwork/history... might be wishful thinking.

Anyone know anything about this convertible e30 on tm? http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=463875248 Keen to go have a look as itll make a cool daily for me, but i note its been on there a while (AGES) and i dont really know what im looking for.

I have one of these sets, except i think powerbuilt branded. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-...n-550740525.htm Never took the seat out of my E39 but it had the correct sizes for a few other things on the E39.

How much work would it be to get an M engine back in there? Is all thats required the engine and ECU or do you need to change looms etc? Looks like it has the 328i custer?

Sadly a car is only worth what someone is willing to pay, no matter what its been valued at. Love the colour, very nice car and a tidy example.

Honestly, get over it

47 is probably fairly close to the MAX pressure for that sized tire. Remember pressures increase as tire heats. IIRC on my old E39 there was a sticker in the door jam that listed all the tire pressures for different sized wheel/tire combos (including 17").

I wonder what they mean by "Minimal Rust**"...

yeah, didnt think there was much point in giving you a toot.... was in the prelude

Spotted Ethirty Andy in the 316i tearing down the motorway this morning. That car is tidy as!
-
random shot, but checked you dont have a loose spark plug or something silly?
-
Personally having owned a 323i, i wouldnt bother downgrading just to make it "easier" to fix it yourself. Those M52 engines are quite simple once you take the plastic covers off the top. Oil and filter is easy to get at and uses standard tools, same with spark plugs. The only difference i can see is i think the 4 cylinder engines use a couple of litres less oil each change, but honestly, whoop de do.

Mega jealous, that is a gorgeous wagon!

Just pondering out loud here, but is it better to leave the badge kind of easy to remove, or stick the thing down with industrial double sided tape? It sucks to have the badge stolen, but it'd be even worse IMO if they couldnt get it off, so youre left with a mangled badge and screwdriver marks all around it.

Ive gotta say, they did a pretty thorough job if it really is the 318i shell... the vin says it was blue originally. Someone went to much effort to convert it to yellow, engine bay and all. 318 Plates and tags on M3?

That 540iM is bloody hot.... yum
