epic. having no money doesnt mean you go risk your own life and others to look 'cool' This forum may not be as 'badass' as others with every brother from another mother running 'cuttiez' and neons but im sure the etticqiute (sp) etc that the members hold is why this is one of the most successful car forums run in New Zealand, with by far some of the most knowledgable people i have ever met (Jochen, Glenn etc). So chill, man, this one is just alot different in my experience from the other crappy ones provided. And yes I do know how much it costs to run a race car, my dad owns one and I have mates on here and elswhere that run them so I do, the costs are high, but there is a reason why cos people who run these cars respect the saftey of the public and enjoy pushing the limits in a controlled environment.

Have a look online, just because the speedo says what it says it dont mean it does. My car has a 240kph speedo, but bmw states the top speed at 190. Same with like a R34 GTR or something, 300kph speedo, but realisticaly would never hit 300 in a speed bowl or something. Also you lose some top speed being a auto, also if you had half a gram of common sense you would realise street racing is for knobheads who ruin the image of all car lovers in this country, go to a track or a strip then you might get some sensible answers. Hope that helps.

Advice please on a trans conversion...
Forrest replied to BLACK DORIS's topic in TradeMe discussions
That looks like a amazingly tidy 325, if your keen on spending a bit of time looking after it with maintenence etc, and doing a tidy manual conversion, that would become a gem of a car for the future -
I would be keen, if it wasnt so far away lol

Im not running in the e30 class at this stage, time and money doesnt allow it. Building this for a daily driver, with the ability to run well at track days, intermarques and some gymkhanas. My original plan changed a few months back. Cheers

Yay for new car parts... Thanks to Paul Olson, Jeddy and The Stealer (Though I almost cried when my exhaust gasket cost me $76 dollars from Jeff Gray ) In the process of rebuilding the suspension and sway bars, installing new control arms, rack ends and tierods, cleaning up the brakes and new pads, bled etc, and finishing off the exhaust. Its going smoothly, time is now no issue, just want to get it done right the first time, managed to get alot more work over the xmas holidays so can get stuck in to buying everything I need to get it done. After much deliberation on costs etc, I am going Koni race series shocks on the front, with Bilsteins on the back, and some B+G springs all round. Should help it handle alot better. Also if anyone wants a e30 strut brace, me and Andy (bmw3) are going to order a few off ebay if anyone is keen, give me or him a pm. Will have more pics when have got all the suspension done. Cheers, Nathan

Replacing the rack ends in my e30, got one side off easy as with a monkey wrench, the other side (drivers side) wont budge at all. Its soaking in penetrating fluid right now, anyone got any tips as to getting these off? Any help is appreciated Cheers, Nathan
