^ As Mark said, fishing line works great to get the badge off the car without breaking it. I found meths or disolvit helps remove old trim tape/residue.

You can get a PFL lip that goes all the way around the front valance on a FL, I think the 325i one with the oil cooler cut out was the right one, needs the lip colorcoded whatever you put on IMO. Lookn good tho.

IMO with the amount of power your car is making, you will probably need it more than a few times...I would just buy one, its an investment if you get a decent one and want to DIY on more than one car in your life.
