^ Noooooo. All you'll get on there is: swaps for my cert'd ceffy gee? / does it do mean skudz? Chur.

^ Good man. IMO apart from a rear sub frame removal + installation, I found it the hardest, most PITA job on a E30. CRC Penetrate is magic. Best of luck.
-
^ Have you got a decent 1/4in socket set? Buy a allen key attachment for it and/or a small breaker bar. Use CRC Penetrate let it soak in for 5 min or so, I don't bother using allen keys anymore, these work far better will get them loose without destroying your hands and also help tighten them up enough so they don't come loose when you go for a drive, ask me how I know. Remember Andrew, it's not a car it's an education don't pay someone else to do it, it's all about learning and trial and error. - Nath Edit: If you have the rear of the car on axle stands under the subframe, use a trolley jack to jack up each trailing arm on the side you want to get the bolts off, it will help keep it square and stop the rubber axle boots getting in the way, making it easier to get them undone. A 19mm ratchet spanner will save your life getting the top subframe bolts undone, as will drilling a couple of holesaw holes in your boot floor to tighten them later with a 1/2inch socket set, so they will never come loose again

So I am replacing all the exhaust gaskets on my M20 along with all the exhaust studs with new copper nuts etc. The one thing I didn't account for was to have 12 head -> exhaust manifold studs to either snap in half or be so rusted the nut stayed with them and they pulled off the head. Thankfully, I have all 12 studs out now safely to replace, the question is, where can I go to get some replacement studs? Sadly I just ordered the rest off Pelican Parts apart from the head studs, so can I get these anywhere local? Also, when refitting the new studs, do I have to put any loctite or similar on them before installation? Cheers, Nathan

^ Andrew, PM Paul at Interpart, bimmer user (#14) on Monday (he is away racing in the E30 series this weekend) he will sort you out.

What is everyones thoughts on flat center caps for the wheels? Have a guy who can get some made for me, but want to know if I can pull it off. Thoughts?
-
^^ You heard correct. Certain aspects of these: http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....st&p=212808 have inspired me. Oh and cheers for the comment RE: Wheels, on sunny day's like this they look outrageous sitting in the driveway with the large amount of rear camber my car runs.

Love this photo. All it needs is a boot lid and a color coded Tech 2 wing, which will come in a few weeks
-
You can use standard rear mounts then drill out the metal center rings to enlarge them to 12mm, which is what I did with my rear koni's/all the race series guys do the same.

Sorted thanks to Oli, your a legend. /End thread

^ Looks good, those covers are a pita. A large group of swear words was used to get mine in while the dash was in.

I have probably changed my phone about 8 times since you left, I have a habit of breaking them but have that same number. Just saw your text now need to top up. To keep it on topic I saw a E39 530i Motorsport on 19' Hartge's the other day in the city.

^ So your back in the hood then
-
Lame thanks though man. Looks like I might need to chop a steering wheel up. What wheel did you use to make your own? I have a Tech 1 here that has no leather and seen better days..
-
As above. PM me or post here. Cheers, Nathan
