Na man, im pissed off because it sat there for 5 weeks and they did nothing to it, told him i wanted it mounted by the 17th but thats not going to happen now, never mind though, ill just do all the other bits that need doing now rather that after.

Finally have my car back after 5 weeks (spent all that time there and they hav only just organised spinning up a pully) So this weekends job is do some work on the e30 and do some paperwork to finish off my apprentiship. Here we have some components i have been collecting Two of the 4 brackets to mount the intercooler intake with Blow off valve,( only cable tied there at the moment as i havn't organised any joiners) have a outlet for icv in there and still need to do the brake booster valve. Intercooler mounted Clearence between fan and cooler is minimal (had to bend up some bits of ali to stop the cooler from moving and touching it. Half of the piping, (just tacked togeather untill next week then ill take it to work and purge it so shes all smooth on the inside) Not much clearence between the bonnet and BOV managed to move the oil cooler down 25mm and massaged the lines so it all fits mint Next came fitting the bumper again to measure how much i had to cut to get it back on. So I slid it on and "WALA" it fitted without any cutting, (i hadnt measured anything when mounting as i was just going to cut the kit to suit.) So with that putting me in a good mood i treated myself to a few pies Next on the list is wire the fan. Extend the afm plug wiring. Mount the powersteering tank down lower. Relocate the fuel relay box

Make it fit Atta, Supercharged e30's will always be good

^^^ Was just about to say that

sick, shame there so far away or i'd be tempted to clean them up

WTB: Rising rate fuel pressure regulator adaptor
Matty104 replied to Matty104's topic in Want to buy
What do you mean by drilled it? , I cut the top off one then gutted it and welded a cap on , (but it had a small leak so i thought id ask if there is proper one forsale. -
Hey guys Im looking to buy a Rising rate fuel pressure regulator, for the m20 But what i need is an adaptor that will allow me to tap into the fuel rail in the same way that the factory fpr does with the push it o-ring type fitting Like THIS But with an m20 fitting I can find kits for m50's but none for m20s So if anyone has purchased one or knows where i can source one let me know. (would ultimatly prefer in NZ) Cheers

Looks good, lower in the front and a nicer offset would set it off. along with the kit repaired, but good things do take time. Keep up the good work

Heres some more pictures from yesterdays work. Cut the front valance alot more than i originally anticipated, Cut a hole for the intercooler piping on the passenger side, ( put a pipe in there for cold air fot the time being) bent the corners of the radiator support in to accomidate piping Now you can see how much more room i have Had to put everything back togeather because i need the car next weekend, but the week after that she will be going in for a warrent and mounting. All my intercooler piping will be tucked away as much as possible (aswell as intercooler) so it can't be seen. But i will still be powerdercoating it this colour
-
Yeah i probly will make a copy of the mounting plate and make them to order possibly. and if i get real into it i may make a kit up ( mounts and piping ) to suit e30's
-
it's just an sc14 off a previa, im only going to run about 6psi . And yes mounting it where the ac was with a v-belt, going to be tricky with the headers blocking alot of the room off I've given up on the idea of mounting it myself because ill never get it right without a hoist (and my home welder is screwed) so will be getting the mount made up and tacked and ill do all the welding at work to save a bit of money.
-
Ok so ill try keep the cooler, found a bit more room so may not even have to move it. An important package came today Dodgy wireing anyone? Heres that room i found, will cut along the white lines tomorrow and open it right up So while the E30 is chilling like this I have to drive this.$400 worth of duel carb power Also im unsere if i wired up the eletric fan right. I tapped straight into the ac fan wires, and it runs when i push the ac switch, but will not run when the car gets hot ( let it get to 3/4 temp before switching it on manually) From what i read around the net the ac fan will turn on if it gets too hot, is this correct? Matt

Would it make sense to say i should keep it because i have the sumpguard, meaning there is less airflow over the sump? I would like to loose it
-
Yea finally decided to stop the talk and just do it haha ,
-
Trying to relocate it is proving be a proverbial c**t , and have to try find the tinyest intercooler ever, FML, i'll get there Edit: yeah i cant take the whole bumper off, but its not getting in the way as it is so didnt bother,
-
Have a bit of prep work going on at the moment, Making way for a charger of the super sort Many thanks to Mark247 for going away this weekend, means i can store my bumpers in his room Mounted a eletric fan today , also chopped more on my front valance away and modifyed my fron radiator support to accomodate intercooler piping. Charger should turn up tomorrow so ill be fluffing around with that all weekend. I will also document the whole build so be prepared for pics. A question before pics * Will it be bad if i choose not to run an oil cooler? and do I block off the holes if i choose not to, or run a pipe to circulate it around a small loop and back into the inlet. Pics
