i havent driven one but have heard they are pretty harsh....would like to try one tho...
-
the 5 spokes look is nice...when i first got my car i wanted a set of these...one of the cars i drove had them certain wheels suit the e34 IMHO style 5s or similar some of the meshy BBS or similar the alpina as on the e34 B10 the style 10 s above or similar
-
dons very effective flame suit... post facelifts slightly less ugly than pre facelift....
-
i will ask at biimer info if somone has a pic they can post.

http://www.bimmer.info/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=10 try there ollie... I think if you wire it properly the trailer indicatirs have their own display on the dash...

there is a nice e34 540iaT on TM (green and tan not my cup o tea tho)
-
prolly would be no better at 100 ks,esp on the hilly roads of NZ
-
didnt the 540is 6 also have stye 5's?If ever you want to sell the 540 is 6 speed i have first bags?Pref a dark interior swap first!Very nice touring tho ray.Interested in your comments re e34 vs e 39.I was strangey unmoved by a very impressive E39 540 six speed.Wonderful to drive but no "soul"Cant think of any other way to describe it. re the wheels...there is only one wheel for the e39 ep if m kitted....M5

i have done my research on E39 M5,s
-
normally alpina look the business on E34s,but maybe they shoild be 17s....the b10 on TM looks awesome, are they 17s?They would prolly look better on my car .If you want DISH mine i think are about as much as you could get!

you cant work with the theoretical tank capacity you need to work it out for each tank.this will vary slightly of course but sheesh my theoreticaal tank capacity is 80l..i have managed 72 l but my normal fill is only 62.
-
stop start city driving....when i bought the car,a mid city auckland resident, the obc said 17l/100km.so at that rate my normal fill of 62 litres would get me 365 ks..... so 1990 535 manual stop start city 62 litres 365 km=17l/100km my "city driving" nets me any thing from 450 to 550 ks... =13.78l/100 to 11.2l/100k,but this is pretty much motorway with quite a few stops and a good long run.

i have researched thi a little myself too and i think a UK car will make the whole thing a much easier exercise.Look on ebay there are 16x 9 dispays there(A lithuanian guy seems to always have them!)Dont know any more than that .Someone also recently poted a thread where an americn guys shows some swaps on video!

he cn do what he likes with his M5 but to try to take it offroad is idiotic
-
honestly that touring is so cool it doesnt need the //M badges it speaks for itelf.Any one you want to impress will be impressed and will also know there was no such thing as an M5 touring. The only people who will be impressed withthe //M badges are the type of people you DONT want to imress, they might decide to take a joy ride or worse...
-
wonder if his mates managed to rip the bumper cover off.F%^&*^g idiots
-
nice.....debadge it
-
apparently yes
-
I think you are on the right track....keep your eyes open and you will see a number of E28,s around, and IMHO they suit lighter colours...
-
All i can say is ...wow...6 40 mm R1 yamaha carbies mikunis?or keihin?6 flared intake trumpets?they will be fun to sychronise
-
sevens are massively underated, they are nt much bigger than a 5 or a coomodre or whayever, and any engine problem with a 740 will me mirrored in a 540 ....You guys stick to your little cars, will make the 5 and sevens cheaper for those that like tanks as opposed to roller skates. Mr E 34 a 540 would prolly be a relatively simple recipient for a m62,and a 740 would prolly use very very little extra fuel than ours...I was astounded at the mileage a 540 six speed can get.
-
appreciate that....will prlly stick with xp but will get 1 gb ram minimum....mac appeals...
