my impression is the HD12 would be a rare car in aussie,i beleive they were specced by BMW NZ to be a M5 clone cos they knew they werent gonna sell many M5s,prolly not the same in Aussie -

what colour is it?Diamand swarch(spelling!) can be anywhere is the dark grey/charcoal/black spectrum depending on light....

i used bridgestones on my e34(cant remember the last ones ) but more recently Falkens (452 i think) and they were around 250ea

its amazing how durable some of these E34s are.Most of the good ones will have had a fairly sedate life for the first ten years or so....

not strange at all it is a car designed to be a race car in the late 70 and finally released in 1978!

if you take the vin to the dealer you can get a build sheet...if it still matters.You can then sell the seats and or whatever as MS

dont forget the hubcentric rings for those wheels,otherwise the first time you get to 90 k you will know all about it

the interior smell of a bmw depends if it has leather or not...If the leather is well looked after it always smells great

ratios are tall for the 540 ,and the boxes are a bit slow...not the best for a drag race tho they would possibly be able to hit 100k in second... -
might have to bite the bullet and go to the dealer
