  2. dont be so sure,i have NEVER seen snow like this in Wellington before.Actually i have but its ussually a few randon drifting floakes and thats it.Its never ever settled on the groung so heavily over the whole of wellington before in my knowledge
  3. weather was pretty good coming home from Manfeild.Started to close in at about otaki/waikanae,started raining proper in pram and really pelted down just south of paraparaumu and immediately the traffic become gridlocked with people going vastly different speeds immediately fouling up flows.Even down by Paekak the drops on the widscreen werent just water, the traffic was stop go so a small group of us all split off and went over paekak Hill as soon as we got up to about 200 m it satrted to snow and was snowing lighly all the way through to Pauatahanui.Instead of going back out to State highway 1 i went over Haywards and it started getting heavy up there settling on the rad and the landscape having a light but complete covering.i was actually quite impressed with everyones driving all were cautious with good following distances seeing we dont get this often. It was even still snowing SH2 Through the valley albeit very lightly. As soon as i turned up Ngaio Gorge the snow was quite thick and heavy.Been quite a good fall at home we prolly about 100m
  4. this car is a 540iS is and is prolly the best in the country.99 percent of any 540 in NZ will be a highly specced car,but the 540iS will prolly be all but identical. The Aussie 540ile had some M5 bits.If you get the VIN you can get the actual options from any BMW dealer
  5. chains are fine as long as you dont have m sport suspension(or big wheels)

  9. thanks for that clarification Brent
  10. i think a zero limit is too much too.I think we should have .05 for full license holders and a very low limit for learner/restricted drivers of all ages. Society as a whole is slowly starting to moderate alcohol related behaviour but we have a long way to go.The lowering of the drinking age was a HUGE mistake as was liberating the sale of alcohol.
  11. well i dont understand that process....the fusible link is ussually encased in a plastic sheath right by the battery. Its like a really big fuse. They can crack which will give intermittent problems with passing large current draws.,ie starting, opening windows.Next time it doesnt strt see if the windows work
  12. the powers that be seem to beleive that if they train us we will become 'racing' drivers so they think we should remain ignorant and 'scared'
  13. i wonder if the fusible link is dodgy.
  14. cr1 is govenor general i think

  17. maybe the scales are out then......they only need the relative weight.I only had half a tank of oil
  18. went to the tip today. They weigh you on the way in and on the way out...the 120 d with me on board(approx 95kg) and half a tank diesel = 1500kg,so say 1400 kg ready to roll
  19. I have seen that blue one in the flesh. Its immaculate
