Of course. If they're any good. BTW Biddy, you assumed its a purely guys domain down here. Its not - we have a fairly strong female membership as well.

Unless you are dealing with probabilities martin, then you multiply for AND and add for OR.

I don't think I'm going to be much help, but I too would like to know how people are getting around the "new" integrated headunits in cars these days. It looks as though car makers are trying to eliminate the aftermarket providers. As a side note, doesn't your car come with an ipod link? Buy an ipod and use the factory controls.

Correct. The engineers one goes more like this:

Lovely fellas? Are you sure you are in the right place? There are three camps on this forum: Those with mid-late 80's 3-series, and 90's 3-series who like them low, loud and with huge, heavy, modern mag wheels Those with mid-late 80's, and 90's BMWs who like a wheel design that is in the style of the era their car was made. Everyone else who either has a factory wheels, or owns a much newer model and has the coin to shell out for the latest and greatest in rim design. I generally prefer rims from the second camp. Generally a 16 or 17" design often with a lot of dish and a staggered setup front and rear. Between 7 and 9 inches wide and then the world is your oyster as far as spoke design goes. Pretty much anything goes from Borbet type A's to BBS RB/RC's and BBS basketweaves, to more modern spoke design. Maybe post up a few pics of wheels that you like the look of for your design and we could give some ideas on how we would like to see them redone. Wheel design is open really - check out the rims at SEMA these days - anything up to 42" diameter and beyond, screens and LED's built into the wheels, dish, no dish, lots of spokes, no spokes, chrome, gold, diamond studded, polished dish with coloured centre, polished centre with coloured dish, you name it, it's being done.

My amp is grounded to the body through a factory ground in the boot which your touring won't have in the same place unfortunately. I had a loooooong process elimnating alternator noise in my car. I checked all grounds about 5 times. I re-reouted wires twice and replaced the RCA's. I replaced the alternator and engine ground straps and cleaned the alternator mount points. I installed a suppressor on the alternator. I checked all my battery cables, and tried insulating the amp case in case there was an earth loop (even though I have a quality amp and it shouldn't be a problem). All to no avail. It was only affecting amped speakers so I knew it wasn't the headunit, but just in case I tried a different headunit (in case the fusable link on the RCA's had gone). No fix. Then I noticed it was much louder on the RH front tweeter, so I temporarily swapped the x-overs - no go. Finally decided to swap out the speakers. Problem went away - swapped them back and it came back. Turns out, my right front speaker had a bent connector and it was creating an earth loop against the speaker basket. A 2sec bend of the tab and reinstall and problem gone. So I know your pain - these things can be impossible to find. Here's some other help. Elimiinating engine noise

1991 E30 M325i Motorsport, UK SALE, 8,600 Miles!!
bravo replied to mr E34's topic in General Discussion
There is a limited market for a collectible m325i I would have thought. Most who have that kind of coin for a collectors piece and want an e30 would buy an m3. They might own a m325i for a daily, but then it wouldn't be this one. You'd have to find a very very serious collector who had everything else and wanted to complete a collection to want to pay that money for it. -

What did you find wrong with the benz?
-
I was thinking same as josh - modern e30 - relatively ugly and boring in standard form, but with some nice cosmetic tweaks, it would be a great looking car. Good handling and large power-size ratio for its day.
-
HB young'n. What you doing for it?? While you're at it, how about an update of how the e30 is treating ya!

Wonder how many Astons will be there? Great idea. They have been doing open air movies on the Village Green in paihia for some time. Not free, but usually only a fiver or something.
