There are lots of older guys/gals who think its OK to drive after quite a few beers/wines (my old man incldeud). (mostly males). There are quite a few younger guys/girls who drive pissed (about even numbers I think). So I think its even between generations. I drove once or twice boozed. It was stupid and I'll never do it again. I'll also never get so drunk I think its a good idea to drive. But, I've driven home a few times after a beer at the office feeling sweet, but not 100% sure whether I'd pass a breath test. Partly because they keep drumming in how the "guidelines" for responsible drinking then driving differ between people. So I figure if I can't feel any effect from my drinking I'd probably pass. But it probably is a gamble really and I never feel comfortable. Been pulled over maybe 6 times like this and failed the initial "name address" test, but passed the blow-in one. My info is the "name address" test picks up any alcohol so even a small drink will fail this, so OK. But one day, who knows, I may be over. Oh and as a side note, although its no excuse, but taxis? what are they? We don't have them where I live.

God awful springs to mind, but I bet it moves.

That's an image I didn't need. I can just see you Sam, everyones scared and freaking out about the fire and you're parading up and down the street with a huge grin on your face whilst all the neighbourhood kids start to cry at the sight.

Well after the last time I drank with Ian in Taupo, I don't think I'm safe anyway - hah.

Good luck with the sale gareth. I hope the nissan doesnt pwnyou like the e30. I've driven n/a and turbs examples of those and know what you mean. pity about the weight though.

Slight drop would look awesome with those wheels.

5 1/4 inch. I have Infinity Reference seris 6 1/2" in the stock location but need 2mm spacers (use corrugated cardboard or similar if you cant be arsed making something up - works fine as a thin spacer - works similar to a gasket) and need to cut the kick panels and modify the bonnet release lever. About an extra half hour to an hours work than putting standard size speakers in.

Leave it for the reasons stated. My 325i badge fell off in the garage and I didn't bother to put it back on, and am happy with the result. Also, my g/f's 320 came with no badge and we replaced the badge with a bimmersport sticker. Otherwise, leave it. Ryan -damn bro, now that's a much shinier boot than when I sold you the car - glad to see her getting the love she desrves. High spec car, mechanically sound, just needs cosmetic TLC. Good stuff.

A minute silence, for a legend has passed... We shall miss you ruby.

Junior moment ken - didn't read the user name properly. So sorry, Ian.

Thanks Ian. I will pull out the control unit first, then start on the micro switches one at a time. Cheers.

You sure as it is a four door. You're telling me that six motors are stuffed (both fronts, boot and fuel cap). and that they all unlock but won't lock??? Or will two stuffed front motors cause none of them to work?
-
Will unlock from both front doors and the boot, but won't lock from any - have to lock each door individually. Is this the lock side of the control unit dead, or something else? Loooked at the wiring diagram, but its not easy to troubleshoot why it would unlock but not lock. Cheers P.S. its areal pain in the arse as everytime you get in the car all the doors unlock, but when you get out you have to lock them all by hand. If it was the other way around it wouldn't be so bad.

Yeah I saw that, an embarassment, to nz, tonga and humanity itself - for more mind boggling stupidity click on his username and check out his bebo page.

I meant it is missing it for the r3v look, not that he needs to do it. I don't understand your point either, the people modify their rides aesthetically is because they want to change or augment the factory style. Certainly NOT so it looks like every other BMW on the road??? And blacked out doesn't mean invisible. You can see it clearly, just its not chrome. BTW, (Emma especially), go have a look at the cars on r3v with blacked grills. Very few have a gangsta, whatever you said, look. Its certainly not for every vehicle or every owner.

I think its definately worth checking to make sure there is no contact between shift linkage and d-shaft as ths would be a relativey cheap fix, and would give the same symptoms. Jack the car up and put it on jack stands. You can see the area where the selector and the driveshaft are close without removing anything.

Very nice. I agree - its pretty much there, too many mods would ruin it.

Engine FTW. Rear skirt FTW, but not the singlecentral tailpipe. Roof wing FTL. Interior is wrong. I still say audi are the only of "the three" (bmw audi merc) that have the interior sussed. Also hate the side vents as they are more z3 than e46 m3. And the rear detailing on the side skirts. Its still a fukn monster though.

Was it always like this as long as you've owned it?
-
r3v = r3vlimited - american e30 forum. there is quite a distinct style of e30 owned by the r3v crew. yours is very much in that style. Generally speaking its a compliment.
-
Almost. Missing black kidney. Agree though - looking absolutely tits. Tints are darker than I'd do on a white car though, a smoked look would've been better, but thats all opinion.

Been using firefox video downloader for months. But glad you sussed it also. Video downloader also works with many other video sites that use flash or have protected vido content. I see the point of protecting the content so that it is not stolen for reproduction, but my feeling is, if I've paid to download the damn thing, why should I have to download it again to watch it again as long as I never intend on distributing it, and lets be honest, you tube video quality is not such that you could ever make commercial gain from videos downloaded from there, except in rare circumstances, so where's the problem?
