  1. OK, I've sorted a local workshop to do it for me. Cheers though.
  2. The one in the above link looks fairly rough. Used to be red, not all that clean interior or engine bay, and a non standard drivers seat just to start. Edit - thought the recaro was a seat cover at first glance.
  3. Anyone near Hamilton able to test drive a car for me ASAP???? You would have to have some serious experience with e30's as I have some fairly specific requirements for the car I'd need you to look at. Should be a fairly fun test drive. There will be some form of reward/payment for your time that we can negotiate. Thankyou all.
  4. Wicked camera work! There's alot of hours of footage to make that 3 min clip. Drigting was cool too.
  5. Sweet, someone on vask nabbed a pic of chris' engine bay. Oh and the rest of the car too, but that engine bay is so sweet.
  6. A friend was being a jackass on Thursday. Waiting for me to get through traffic so he can follow me to our destination, instead of pulling over starts circling a small roundabout again and again. A cop was waiting to enter. The cop enters behind him and hits the strobes. My mate doesn't even notice and continues to be a retard. Cop hits the siren and finally gets his attention. After a dressing down from the cop for being daft, and a full check of license WOF, REG and diesel tax he let him go. Good stuff. I pulled over not far up the road and tried not to wet myself laughing at the total stupidity of it. I was hoping he was going to give him a ticket.
  7. Wow! Well presented - a credit to you. Good luck.
  8. Even as an auto??? Show me a cheaper one? I wouldn't want it being auto, but I still think the price is right. Maybe I'm out of touch???
  9. Further to Glenns comments, the larger motors can be as economical as the smaller ones - you just have to go easy on the loud pedal. They have more torque, and you don't have to work them as hard. Round town - probably not, but on the open road, you'll be happy with the economy. Your insurance will be slightly more though.
  10. Has leather and multifinction wheel - BARGAIN!
  11. ^^^ My fav wheel first equal with BBS LM's.
  12. the e39 has a fair bit of equipment too. Won't be long before manual faclift ones are that price (I hope!)

    BIO Fuel

45c increase since middle of Jan = 45c in 3 weeks.
  14. ^^^ That's the pad I mentioned in an earlier post. I go to the Dargaville burnouts every year. It's awesome. Have schemes for a bmw burnout machine for maybe next year. Will have to be good to match the current talent though! its cheap, out of the way form residential homes, but fairly close to town, you can buy or bring beer (although you're not supposed to but they don't police it), they have a bikini comp every year that is soo Northland its not funny. Think drunk girls, with one very drunk one that just staggers on the stage and rips her top off, so all the others feel obliged to copy to stay in the running. usually ends up with at least one entirely nude. A little bit trashy for my tastes, but a bloody good laugh in any case. (Check out the Comps>Bikini link on the site ray posted to see what I mean - NWS) And surprisingly, there is very little carnage afterward. The cops sit near the end of the road keeping an eye and breath testing people. I got pulled over twice between the end of the road and my mates place 3 blocks away, but both times they just checked WOF Reg License and breath tested and sent me on my way. Well organised event.
  15. Will be one of these probably blau is blue - so will be one of those.
  16. Cool story, but WTF does it have to do with this thread?
  17. Not factory. If you are deft with electronics, trace the wires back and see where they go. Can't be too complicated - probably goes to a "brain" somewhere that checks the plug you insert is the one that matches the car, and then from the brain there will be wires that immobilise a circuit such as ignition, or fuel pump or similar. Something of that age probably only has a simple, single immobiliser, and seeing as the car works when you remove it it won't be the fuel pump, so is probably just on the start circuit. Pull it all out, rejoin the circuit and you'll be back to factory. If you're not comfortable with this, then follow Glenns advice. If it is just on the start circuit there is no risk if you pull it out, or it falls out, whilst driving.

It may be OK, but a BMW press release says NO.

    Carjam update

And don't forget it can't take into account general condition, mods, etc. For instance, mine has tech II kit and has been converted to manual - carjam doesn't know this, and this makes mine worth more than your average 325i auto. Cool feature though, and to be honest it wasn;t far off the mark I didn't think anyway.
  20. There's one in Dargaville - Used for burnout comp every year, but you can arrange to have a "practice" any time you like by contacting the owner. And I have one
  21. My old man swears by hot rum toddies - I reckon it just puts him to sleep and its the sleep that does the work lol. Basics really - fluids, rest, and anything that can boost the immune system, so vit C, etc, raw garlic is good (swallow cloves like pills, don't chew the stuff), and these days you can buy all sorts of herbal immuno boost tablets from the chemist - they can help. Cut out sugar and coffee until you come right. Eat lots of protein-rich food. When I feel a cold coming on, I hit the vit C and immuno tabs, guzzle water until I'm peeing every 5 mins and go to bed early. Usually its enough to stop it before it becomes a full blown cold.
  22. Word. If I was doing a burnout with some mates and the cops showed up I'd probably crap my pants and hope they went easy on me, not throw bottles or fire upon them with a rifle, air-powered or otherwise.
  23. Cops let me off all the time because I'm so super cool.
