  1. Hi Adrian, i have one - Sedan type with 2004 manufacture date. I don't know if it is the folding type - I suspect not, as it only has a single ribbon cable with 3 pins on the connector. Very good condition - colour looks like "SteelGrau" / Steel Gray. It was from a Motorsport version, so it has the High Gloss Shadowline finish to the triangular mounting plate (gloss black paint finish) Cheers Paul
  2. Hi there, I have one - In Christchurch - not actively for sale, but may consider selling for the right offer - above your maximum price however... 1997 328i Motorsport Coupe Factory 5-speed manual (ZF box as used in M3) NZ New 178,xxx km Very tidy inside and out Full black leather Motorsport interior, leather door cards, some wear on driver's seat, black headlining is mint, non smoker vehicle from new, no sunroof! 3-spoke Motorsport steering wheel, genuine M3 door mirrors, rare CD43 head unit. I have owned for about 4 years, (168,000Km) - previous owner for about 10 years, plenty of history and receipts. I think it has had 3 to 4 owners in total (excluding dealers - the previous owner bought it as a certified used BMW from Shelly BMW in Wellington). It spends 95% of its time in the garage, hence the thought of selling. The plan was to have this as a "keeper", however I have recently purchased an e46 M3 project that is demanding garage space. A bit of a dilemma for me, as I suspect that these e36 328i Motorsport Coupes will go the same way price-wise as good M-tech II e30 325i Coupes. I replaced the engine at approx 168,000 with the same type of engine from a NZ New 2.8L 1997 Z3 with a genuine 75,000km (documented). New genuine Sachs clutch kit at same time, along with genuine BEHR Radiator, Contitech belts etc. Well maintained, plenty of other Genuine BMW parts fitted over the years. Runs perfectly, an absolute pleasure to drive. New Toyo Proxies 225/45x16s fitted to reconditioned and straightened genuine AC Schnitzer type 1 alloys (16 x 8) New front brake hoses just fitted and fresh brake fluid, new WOF issued on 22/12/16 Front bumper needs plastic welding and repaint to sharpen up appearance (had a minor incident with a wheelie bin!) Bonnet has plenty of stone chips that have been touched up. I have 2 x new genuine Hella fog lights and a new M3 lower grille insert to fit once bumper refinished. A re-spray of the bonnet would make this car perfect. Driver's door central locking actuator starting to play up, otherwise everything else works 100% Apologies for the poor photos - please PM me if you are interested. Regards, Paul
  3. Thanks Hans - have you narrowed down your search to any particular suppliers in the UK?
  4. Hi there, Does anyone know of a damaged e46 M3 with good running gear that might be for sale? I need engine, 6-speed gearbox, driveshaft, engine bay parts and front loom, so I figure that a complete car will be a more economical way to go. I have an otherwise complete e46 M3 that was a factory 6-speed manual that I need to put these bits into in order to make it a runner. It looks like the cheapest option is to bring in a lightly damaged car from Japan, (possibly LHD?) but before I go down that path I thought i'd see if there was anything available in NZ. Would prefer manual to SMG in order to minimise further cost / complexities. Many thanks Paul
  5. I see that this one has just been listed. Looks like a great example : http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-1149743104.htm
  6. Just be sure that you purchase RHD versions. On eBay, most will be from LHD vehicles - they have different base plates - will fit up to RHD just fine, but will be set at the wrong angle (ask me how I know!) Regards Paul
  7. Hi there, I need to have my e36 Coupe headlining re-done in the factory Motorsport black / anthracite fabric. I'm in Christchurch, and wondering if anyone can recommend an auto trimmer here that could do the job using the correct type of fabric (colour and thickness). Would ideally like to have a finish as close as possible to the factory finish (the "A" and "C" pillars are good, so would look to keep those untouched) Alternatively I would be interested if anyone knows of a NZ or international source that I could contact for purchasing a couple of metres of the genuine OEM fabric, and I would have a go at doing it myself (using the correct 3M adhesive etc) Cheers Paul
  8. FCP Euro have shipping prices to NZ for a lot less than Pellican...not as much product range though.

  10. Hi there, Sorry - not a BMW parts question, but just wondering if anyone here knows of an Audi S3 being parted out that has some front end parts available - Bumper, xenon headlights, radiator support panel. radiator, AC condensor Parts are for a 2003 8L version (facelift 2000 - 2003 model). Some of the parts may be the same as a standard A3 Any pointers would be appreciated. Would consider any UK or other overseas sources also. Many thanks Paul
  11. Hi - there, The last 6 digits of the part number "735728", followed by "2.5" will be stamped on the intake manifold, just below where the throttle body sits. See the photo of the one for sale at http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=721403663
  12. http://www.turners.co.nz/Cars/Search/BMW/328i/12436304/ Looks to be fairly unidy, but NZ New, and has a couple of rare options for an e36 - PDC and Cruise Control (Whether or not they work would be another question, though!) Reserve looks to be fair...
  13. Hi there, I'm after the following parts for my e38 740i 1999/2000 (M62 Vanos engine) 1) Water cooled alternator. One from a 1999+ 540i or X5 would also do. Needs to be a guaranteed good working item 2) Steering column ignition switch, oem part number is 61326901962 from a 1997 onwards 740i , 750i, 540i or X5. Cheers Paul
  14. Hi there, I have a new (blank) ABs / DSC controller for my 2000 e38 740i, and it needs to be coded to the vehicle. Also probably need the steering angle sensor re-calibrated. I have a mate that had the same job done on his e39 through the BMW dealer, and it was around $250 - $300 to code. Seems a little on the high side given that the dealer in Dunedin can apparently do it for around half that figure, and it doesnt take too long to do. Just wondering if there are any indie shops (or keen DIY'ers!) in ChCh that have the proper gear / software (GT1 / SSS / Progman, or whatever it is) to be able to do this for a reasonable price. Any advice greatly appreciated! Thanks Paul
  15. Hi there - I have one listed here: http://www.trademe.co.nz/681531799 Cheers, Paul

    96' e39 528i...

I hope you give that vendor some bad feedback! Seems very unlikely that a car can be sold in "good condition" then cracks a head a few days later... Good luck - hope you manage to get a good price for it (although you would probably make more by parting it out - if you had the time / space / patience!)
  19. Hi Andy, Can I please order 2 x plates like this: ADF781 - pair of standard NZ euro plates with blue ferns. I will make the payment now and it will be in your account tomorrow morning. Will PM you also. Cheers Paul
  20. Hi there, I'm after just a single alloy wheel - front wheel from e38 staggered set-up, 8.0 inch wide there may be that size in e39 fitment also? Thanks, Paul
  21. Hi there, I am after an air intake rubber pipe that fits between the MAF and the throttle body for an e36 1994 318i with the m43 1.8L single cam engine. After one in excellent condition with no signs of perishing etc. Thanks!
