It strange, cause I look at these photos and the car looks fine I look at this photo and thats not normal even for lowering. With the above photo, im not even sure going up 20mm in wheel diamaeter (10mm in real height change) is going to satisfy getting a pink sticker removed. The springs are the things that have changed .. I would say at least change them back or get new springs that are a lot less agressive. Not having a go, just offering some constructive advise from someone whos done it a few times with e46's

It would be cheaper to get the standard springs put back in than buying new wheels which will not actually bring the car up that much. Unforutnitly the springs you have in the car are way too low for 17s .. I would even say they are boarder line for 19s.

I like all the things the buyer of that shiney magpie thingy bought. Audi owner. Awesome.. his car looks like its almost complete .. not sure about the lacey camisole however .. doesnt usually give horsepower gains. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Members/Feedback....?member=1306568

Hmmm I just go to people I can trust .. had too many monkeys put the wheels face down on concrete metal first (first set of LMs which had to be skimmed) and F**k of the torque settings and ruin a set of hubs (old e36 I use to own) Basically, the people I go to know wtf is up and thats why I stick with them. cheapest isnt the best.

This is your oppertunity tom for that track car youve always wanted..

Seriously are in that much of a hurry to ditch them ? My advice is keep them for when you want to put the car back to stock. Because youll kick yourself if you deny yourself from the option.

Hmmm wouldnt say its that worth it .. lot of hassle for just having it in a mag. They forget about photos and that free copy your spose to get you once they have their article. I got sick of chasing them.Spend the time getting some professional photos and posting around some global forums, it will mean more !

Cool, the e30 with the e46 suspension ? Thats tony's (Westy) Here is the build thread. http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....showtopic=23929 And here is a video run around I've done of it. You can see the underneath of the floor pan cut and replace

If its only for tarmac, the e46 gear should server well Pushing the towers out should be fairly easy to do. So it will be more for targa/hillclimbs ?

hmmm its still a bandaid which ruines o2 sensors. I personally think its just easier to not be a knob in the first place and change your oil to suit your driving needs.
-
looks like that engine bay has seen lots of liquifaction dust! ... good excuse for a detailing session and a steam clean! Nice car and welcome.
-
Dare I say a bandaid for using the wrong grade oil and poor service intervals ?

heavy car + big motor + town driving = bad. Thinking about using the missus 1.6 mirage for a bit just outta principle. Its a manual atleast! defo switching to 91 for the daily.

s62 from his old white one. Still to be finished, the interior and rear is all tubbed. The floor pan barley remains stock. the trans tunnel is all custom too. The car is kind shoe horned onto the roll cage. google / you tube limmet videos to see the progression for some of newer guys. This car was an m20 turbo then s50b30 turbo then shelved for a coupld of more white m20 turbo projects then his s62 N/A project now this.

hahaha totaly. Actually my situation is a little different being a different engine however unfortunitly the m52 still uses hippy plastic for everything too
