Nope .. I have my other set on the e30. I had to spend some serious money on the e30 to get them to fit the way I wanted them. So they were going to be put in storage until had the funds .. which realistically would be a few years away so I had an oppertunity with Ray and traded them with him. The other set on the e30 will probably get the same colour scheme. PS I saw them in person today .. they look really good in person, Ray is going to lower the car a little which will give it this look

The red clashed with the purple unfortunitly. Hes gonna order some other 4 prong caps for it.

I think what hes saying is that if you go over 27mm you cant get a cert for it. Anything under and you can get a cert.

badass ... get a video of the start ...

Awesome! .. stoked they fit well on the e34!

So where are the kill stories! ?

Couple of things ... have a look at your GM5 module .. as it controls your central and window controls / acutators. Hopefully your GM5 supports your extra windows ... use RealOEM and the last 7 digits of your VIN to confirm. You can also confirm everything using the BMW WDS http://spaghetticoder.org/bmw/wds/e46/ Install this first as Adobe have dropped support for SVG plugin :/ http://www.ieaddons.com/en/details/Time_Sa...obe_SVG_Viewer/ GM5 is located behind the dash .. have a look at http://www.bmwgm5.com for details on it.

The m3 pipe also runs an expansion chamber design for exhaust gas expansion, The collector is then strategically placed and then kind of ruined by the s-pipe just before the flanges. You can make some more top end gains by straightening (removing) this and running 2 inch runners as far up as possible. You can also run 2 1/2 inch runners if you expect the car to live in the high rev band and want top end power.

Someone needs to make that a desktop with the bimmersport logo and a catch frase "Bimmersport, F**k yeah!"

Further information: All spacers must be tapped with at least 1 counter sunk grub screw onto the wheel itself. All spacers that are hub centric must fit the wheel center bore AND the hub center bore perfectly (hub rings are allowed) All spacers need the correct length lug bolts that turn at least 7 turns into the hub thread. Bolts must be high tensile and be of self centering type. Maximum spacer size is 27mm All of the above has to go through the NZ Low Volume certification process for it to pass your next warrent. Cost of Low Volume cert is around $480 so I would suggest doing your suspension and ride height at the same time to make it worth while. Spacers aren't dangerous if done correctly, Low Volume certifiers have a formula and if it adversly effects the handling from stock .. it wont get certified. I just went through the whole process with the e30 sweet as. As long as you do it properly your all good. Arrow wheels can manfufacture a set of spacers mounted to the wheels pretty cheaply. All hub centric and to your spec. Lance will even work it all out for you so you dont have too edit: sorry some of these obviously covered by jonos post corrected maximum spacer size.

sorry man, im really having trouble with this part. when on a dyno, aren't you flooring it when doing a run ?

Yeah, if you create enough air pressure Not only that but create turbulant air. I have done it before and it had performance decrease at high speed. when I went back to stock it returned top end performance. Makes a cool noise though .. but thats about it.

Found this online from the RS4 owner .. pretty impressed how the e30 goes in a straight line
-
cool bro .. try it and see what happens at high speed when the air is being rammed on a stock map
-
gold 318 at that .. in all seriousness .. Im glad people are ok ... just checked in with my family .. there all good Darfield doesnt sound so good however :/

Good to see .. will be doing this soon (retrofit not conversion like yours)

The biggest thing with a pod filter is creating physical separation from the warm air in the engine bay to cool air from outside. The OEM boxes aren't all that bad, you can actually use an aftermarket panel filter with no oil (again over time clogs the MAF sensor). Ducting cool air or forcing air in is a big no no if your running a MAF as it confuses the sensor. To benefit from ram air you need to be running MAP and a tune in the simlulated environment (adding more fueling) Best is what PJay posted as it provides the best physical separation between the engine bay and the outside air behind the head light. Ollie and myself have been designing myone for the s50b32/e30 .. will get around to finishing it soon and post results.

It use to be really bad in auckland too.. however The fact its not 'cool' to go up and down q'street any more (far less boy racers) and its hard to actually get onto has meant auckland city modified car scene has taken a massive dive, in turn the police have toned down in dishing out tickets. Not saying that it doesnt exist in pockets around auckland.. but its far less visual and usually away from general populous. Is tauranga still crammed with all of aucklands old modified cars ?
