No suprise .. the guy turned up late and missed the part where it wasn't a drift day ... he was driving like a toss most of the session.
-
haha .. yeah .. wasn't too much of a suprise what colour it was ... I'm a silber whore Thanks to grant, already purchased a reversing camera. Man these things are a real pleasure to drive. So god dam comfy! .. Im really enjoying it. And ray, yeah Ange loves it on the commute to work. I have already told myself off several times for watching it while driving .. so had pretty much got it in my head not too when in rush our .. its as bad as texting and driving.

Saw that cop out of mercer snapping people... Also the dodgy covert speed camera in the yellow stickered beat up mazda bounty with tinted rear cab .. very sneaky. I passed two high way patrol officers on the way back home, was a good feeling being legal .. even tho they did look at me sideways for the stiff suspension.

Awesome shots! ... What a great day! Thanks Jamez and April and co. Really enjoyed it and learning the e30. One thing I need is some blimmin semi slicks as about a lap and a half and road tires dont really work. I got sick of having to steer with the throttle hahah.. Very impressed with some of the other cars out there.. Hampton really does turn up some suprises. I found out one thing... the e30 is much faster than rs4's and HSV GXPs so cant ask much more than that. The only thing that gave me the shits was the big compression lockup on the end of the front straight I had and seems I over heated my LSD as it made some pretty aweful sounds ... it unlocked however. Sounded like I broke a half shaft when it happened which isnt fun at 190kph :/ However all is fine when I let the thing cool down.

I had a look at the phone but haven't had a chance to muck around with it .. I think we will as westy said just pre-pay it for the car and slap a hundy on the car and use it every now and again. Sat nav will be a doddle compared with the e46 as its seems to be pretty much pre-wired, Grant is looking into wiring up a connector for me (cheers hotwire ) Revering camera is going to be nice. TV is a big novelty over radio, breakfast show is actually pretty funny over the dull radio shows of norm. That henry cnut is classic. First time ive given him 5 seconds of my time.

It kind of has one of those ... I just need to locate a detachible hook. It has all the frame and wiring and cutout already.
-
ahh sweet, cheers ollie ... I dont need much, just need to relocate a badge. Now to get some nilon fishing line to remove the badge with.
-
No, will do it again for the e39 as Ange and I use it alot when we travel around the country. thanks .. the credit goes to Ray / HellBMhehe nah, my days of big wheels on a daily are over. I might go for 18 inch m5 wheels in time .. will see. hehe .. the two haven't met each other yet .. only got the news 30 mins ago the e30 passed its cert. If that m5 vs evo m3 vid is anything to go by .. a lot faster. haha .. yeah kinda of wierd when you think about it!

Some have you may have noticed me assing around with my signature. After a very long hard think and coming to the realisation that my daily driver needs to be something a bit more sensible I have traded the 330i for a '01 540i Motorsport. What made this even harder was the e46 was no normal e46 as most who knew me from 3-4 years ago will attest. Alot of time and money (too much) had gone in it which made this decsion even more harder for me. The 540 will stay fairly stock as the whole point is the missus can drive it and we dont have to watch every driveway entrance and every bad piece of roading. In auckland there is a lot. My thoughts on it is it doesnt really need any modifications as it has a whopping 4.4 vanos v8 with motorsport suspension, when I took it for a blat down to still water it really sold me straight away, they are an amazing car and so torquey. A very big thank you to Ray @ HellBM for sourcing and prepping this immaculate example. A true example of this mans passion to BMWs Anyways.. here is a quick and dirty photoshoot I did. Enjoy

Where does one pick up double adhesive panel tape from ? the really sticky all weather stuff used for attaching badges ? Would prefer a retailer if poss.

Yeah .. at this point in time updating the MOST system is best done at the dealers under warrenty. It means if they bugger the module half way through they will replace it at their cost. A few interesting stories from friends who work there about bricking modules after updates and just having to replace it as the diag software runs a token ring style scan on them, if they cant get past the bricked module then it cant complete the scan and move onto the next screen for re-programming.. bit stupid really, but im sure BMW are enjoying the warrenty claims.

legit question here. Whats the m3 in for ? Im interested on the servicing quirks on them.

This one ?

the guy shoulda waited till the herald clip had been published .. someone would of helped him out a lot less than 1800 I reckon? Pretty sh*t thing to have happen really. people are pretty close minded and I dont care what age they are, someones property is someones property

Rolling is mearly using a roller or what ever to flatten the inner lip and depnding on how much you want pulling the innder guard lip outwards to give the car more room for bigger width or lower offset wheels. Flaring is a bit more drastic, you can create your own flares and cut away the original or extend the metal you do have by extruding the guards outward to create a pumped out guard. The next level from this is going full wide body which is taking flaring to the extreme and usual entails full panel replacement.

hehe welcome to bimmersport .. Ive been following your thread on the kids sandbox I mean GP forums
-
I hope so .. the car should be a couple of hundred Kg's lighter and its flywheel is half the weight. I have yet to race anything BMW yet to gauge. Any consolation I obliterate a stock evo 9

Its impossible to give a gaurantee on weather or not paint will crack. All you can do is be careful and take every steap for it not too happen, at the end of the days its up to the paint.
