The z4 engine is made from magnesium alloy, and apparently the first production engine to be so.

hehe .. I got quoted $1700 to make up a 42mm .. guess the agents worked out people just went else where as it was just too expensive. The PWR ones are made in aus with a 6-8week lead time. a1 radiators /CHCH do an all alloy one as well for cheap... not sure of the qaulity however.

The e39 ones, they have a smaller screen than the e46 ones ? or has that changed ?

Yeah .. know how you feel ... I have a rule, park far away from everything else and no parallel parking behind people with tow bars or tight car park spaces. This has meant 3 years later my paint still look new after the repaint. Its funny, when you go park by yourself, when you get back to the car others who care about there vehicles park around you. I came out one time to find a bunch of younger guys sitting on and resting on my e46 .. I blew my temper with them and I nearly got into a fight over it ... I just pop a fuse over it when I really shouldnt have. My problem is lots of people dont think about the rivets most jeans have in the back of them can cause deep scratches.

defanitly as he actually measured the paint before cutting it back .. kind of a good risk adverse proceedure but great pratice in my opinion. Its the sort of thing you only have done once or twice in the cars paint life time, gives you good insentive to keep it polished.

Will just hold a 19x8.5 @ 235/35% profile wheel and tire. I use a 17x8 with 50 profile tire .. closely matches my 19s in diameter

Debadging was a 318i and 320i thing the japs usually did to hide the power model engine. It kind of caught on as a thing to do when youre modding. Personally cant really see the point but yeah, its a personal pref thing I guess.

Thats pretty impressive. I know you can get this done at most pro-detailing places or even do it yourself but sometimes by the time you buy all the product and tools its just worth dumpin 2-300 into this sort of thing. Nice work

They need to be bolted to the wheel with counter sunk grub screws and you have to have high tensile appropriate length lug bolts. Pretty easy really.
