Don't forget to get a 'full' wheel alignment done afterwards either.

Yeah, Its sometimes hard work on open road running coil overs. The big one for me is forged wheels as running 35/30 profile tires you really need forged barrels. I always just slow down these days for road works or those un-even road surface signs. Its not fun hitting those at speed as the gradent change / legnth of compression is usually greater than what your shocks stroke is. With this you end up hitting the bump stops maybe bottoming out or even in extreme cases bending your wheels, flat tires / causing strut tower movement. I usually find over the ole one way bridges on NZ's B roads I slow right down or place my wheels on a different line than usual traffic as the road isnt as ruttered on offset lines. I use this rule for dips in the road or when raining anywhere you see polling water. Works 99% of the time.

Will do.

The reason why the V1 owns all is because they tell you the direction the signal is comiong from. That with my satnav = know pretty much where the source is going to be well in advance. I used a bell once and felt blind when I had churps, felt like a big step backwards. Radar detectors however will not save you if the radar tracking you is in hold mode at distance. The police have now been trained how to best use hold mode on the stalker radar units and can accurately lock your speed around 900 meters LOS before you have time to react. I know cause i've been done like this before.

Hey fellas, Cheers and yeah we started a little conservative as we didnt know how this thing would go... words in from the first week from the distro company Rhythmethod , we are having to re-press and manufacture more stock. JB HiFi have really upped the stock levels I went into albany yesterday and they had tons on the 'new release' section. I'm glad you guys like it from a rock perspective. I pretty much only listen to rock myself so wanted to make sure it had tons in it .. as we are heading that way while still staying with our roots. on a side note... this happened on friday, absolutely blown away guys ... truely are. It makes it all the worth while as too why the e30 project has been on hold over the last two years!

Flat black the BBS's with time attack.

In otherwords... for your budget ... just grab one of the pre-made systems. Or save some more $$$ if you want a proper upgrade.

Right. Well I wouldn't know any body in NZ who makes qaulity mufflers that sound good and aren't repco tin can specails. It's probably going to be a hard road finding something thats stainless for under that price for the 2/3rds system. (center muffler is very important).

My PC uses about 100Kb in checking for updates everytime I connect my laptop t3g aircard why anyone would seriously use it out and about on mobile is anyones guess. ooooOOoo look honey lets see whats movies are on = fail .. village website uses about 5Mb just to book ticket(s) after get through the flash banners. Content providers can't be bothered writing sites just for mobile devices because no body really uses them as the plans are stupidly expensive. I would say this is because we would all just use Skype over IP and bypass the whole 'telephone' thing The quicker mobile internet devices (ALA HTC devices) come out over IP with cheap data/wireless plans the better.

third gear 150kph overtakes are fun.

I have some .. hopefully they are what you need ... they worked for the standard e30 m325i suspension.

Has an s50b32 and ZF 5 speed bolted to it instead which will be pretty good .. maybe go a little higher but thats a tuning thing once its actually on the road. Currently running the m20b25 with getrage 260 + 3.14 air cooled diff. 1st gear is like second at the moment

Hey Tom, Im looking to get mine repainted very soon (same reasons as you). Interested in this product also .. And I do believe your car still has a date with my camera at some stage -
Are you talking about upgrading from the block or from the headers backwards ? Keep the EVO headers as there isn't much more to be gained in your price range. For a street system I recommend your muffler choice (staying to BMW tradition and actually availible in NZ (6month old research here ) remus / supersprint / Milltek Sport or borla systems. e.g. They all make a rear muffler and center muffler sections for the e36 EVO m3. The gains your aiming for are in the 5500RPM range upwards ... more flow / freer reving in the higher ranges. Keeping in mind for street use no point over doing it on the noise thing .. trust me .. you _will_ get sick if you go too loud.

Thanks guys! ... very much appreciated!

Thanks for the insite into this... I've only picked up what I found from my own experiences with LSDs and suspension setup. I can tell you how to tune an e46 properly and what works for road and what doesnt if thats any help haha ... to be honest I haven't had enough time behind the wheel of the e30 to really go into the inner balance of it with people. At the moment however .. the suspension setup is pretty bang on .. except for the sway bar side of things. anyways .. back on topic for me

how do you find it at that ? The e30 is running a standard 3.14 LSD from an m-coupe. with the standard m20b25 in it .. its pretty sh*t as I think the m20 just aint got enough power to lock up properly when needed? However once the s50b32 is in (what the diff is use too) it will be fine on the road for 'performance' driving .. and it being raced I'm expecting its not going to be a happy diff. I talked to Kayne Barrie and he seemed to think that it would be fine for racing. Even on advice from others it wouldnt .. bit confused now as to what to do about it ... Will deal with it when the time comes however I guess.

Serious question here .. wouldn't a Qauife Torsen diff work better around tight corners than messing with the balance of the car just to fix diff issues ? I have driven andys old turbo with the Qauife in it and the car was seriously stable in the corners under loading due to the diffs split percentage drive to both rear wheels. I'm talking outside of drifting here. I'm guessing your talking about drfit car setups ?
