  3. I use a spray you can get from repco called Penetrate pretty sure its a CRC product... seriously .. spray it on, leave it 5 minutes and out she comes with a bit of a hammer on the support areas ... If you dont already know .. never hit the actual ball joint, it just destroys it.

    oh dude ... gayness .. but yeah .. live and learn ... to tell you the truth im worried about the s50 as well haha .. its passed all testing and inspection but even still ... the water jackets are getting very close to the cylinder walls in the b32.
  6. the BMW performance catalog will be bringing it in as gus said very soon ... not cheap at all though. The BMW performce catalog cracks me up .. while all the stuff is of top qaulity .. they have taken alot of the design ideas from the aftermarket BMW tuners.

  8. yeap .. forget the brakes calipers / discs etc in my post .. what i was trying to illustrate is that a 25mm master cylinder upgrade is the main key to it ... it will fit your factory booster and the cert'd braided line upgrade is the next real key to the puzzle that and some good pads
  9. Awesome vehicle my friend ... very tastefully done I see HPF are developing a 'stage 3' kit for the 335i replacement turbo(s) / intercooler and full remap / injectors etc etc .. should be a nice upgrade.
  10. Running 330mm/35mm slotted 6pot wilwood sl-6 on the front with m-coupe 315mm/25mm 2pot rears on the e30 m325. Full braided lines and a Audi88 25mm master cylinder and golf 1.3ltr mkII booter (not needed for simple brake upgrade we only needed it to clear the s50b32 plenum) pedal feel is great .. sharp and well if you stamp it too hard it will lock up. Braided / 25mm master cylinder upgrade is well worth it ... got the master cylinder off ebay for about 400 I recall and you can do the lines for about 400-600 pre-certed

    remove the trim and see if the connector has fallen off. be gental with taking the trim off it can be a little tricky ... but doable if you do it logically. e46fanatics.com ... search forums on howtos to remove your trim.

Welcome Honestly the best performace and tuning for your money would be Gavin @ hi velocity on the north shore in Auckland.He has all the proper gear to tune BMW (or any) ECU's and most important the experience to boot. Dont trust it to a generic chip thats tuned for other countries petrol. For the exaust there are a few options made ... Im running a supersprint to the factory extractors. In the e46 m54 cars there is a very restictive peice of the exhaust in the middle that is there to cut the noise down but effects you top end performance. You will have more fun upgrading the suspension in these cars. for a decent set of coil overs you are looking at around 3k .. the cheapest way to go higher than that is buying a 330i / ci

  17. and has about 20000 in damage parts to replace to get it on the road again. diff = 4500 New strut towers 700 each, multi link suspension parts are about 2k per qaurter .. (I know I had to replace my front after that pot hole on the 330) 5k to straighten the chassis, panels 700-1k bumpers shells 2k each Lucky its not a 02 onwards as the carbon fiber front and rear carriers are 5 grand each! hope he was a panel beater hehe take note of the chassis number .. im sure this isnt the last we will see of it
  18. reckon Ive got maybe 10 years before the days of 800hp turbos are just going to be too expensive or just going to be illegal.. I'm 30 and have about 2-3 years before kids etc etc .. so for me nows the time to build such a thing. my thoughts on it all. that and when they can drill past 2 Kms ... we will all be sweet and there will be no oil shortage

  21. Most of us agree with a 100% on the ebay catalog call .. but subbies suffer from this as well. But I think here we are talking performance model with performace model.
  22. Hmmm, after driving both .. I just dont understand the want for AWD in a road car for performance driving unless its in a straight line. An m3 on the limit vs a AWD (even with diff split) STI .. the m3 will always handle better ... ALWAYS. a great comparison to AWD vs 2wd have a look at the 997 911 CS vs the GT3 .... the 2wd will always out perform on the limits as you actually have steering. Quickest around a corner in a power slide .. now thats a different story. But its a road car and your not sliding it every where are you ? It totally depends what your friends into. I personally cant stand the look of subaru's .. they look cheap and single serving to an era of cars. And the sound their exhuast manifold generates is about as played out as Bill Cosby in the 80s... But thats just _my_ opionion. Give me a screaming 6 any day.
