Acid cleaned and blasted then powder coated, the gold bits are acid dipped then electroplated with galvinisation (gold look) Its fairly cheap to get done (about $50 for all those parts) ... far cheaper than buying new bolts and in most cases looks a lot better.

hmmm yeah the e30 325 brakes were pretty poo even when I replaced them with stock new OEM parts. Having the 6pot 330mm slotted fr and 2 pot 315mm rr's even on 8x5 rubber is a little bit over kill but id rather have the option to lock up than having fade.

interesting mod if you make it work go for it.. .. you may have a few followers if you pull it off!

anythings is possible .. you would need access to a fairly accurate lathe. its really is just easier buying some. Make sure you run longer high tensile lugs also.

or get ready to see why we need 9.5 inch rears

Awesome work dude! .. great to see another full fabbed up engine! .. ITB's look awesome btw One quick questions and maybe its a typo Are you still running the counter leaver setup in the rear suspension ? if so you should have the larger spring rate in the back vs the front. The rear semi trailing arm set will even out the spring rates. having a stiffer spring setup in the front will cause some bad understeer.... I could have it all up the wazooo and you have it setup for drag racing ... incase

Hey guys, Thought I might start a series of posts on suspension characteristics and the reasons why or why not things are done on a vehicle (specifically BMW 3series) I'm no expert on the topic .. I'm marely researching it myself for my own projects and thought I would post findings here. Feel free to add to the topic with credable howtos, car setup data, FYIs.

The sway bar difference between the m3 and normal 325i / m-sport is the strut. Below is two different photos showing the sway bar link mount points on the strut. We are running the standard thicker 325i sway bars with e30 m3 struts with mount points for this reason.... best of both worlds I guess. Also allows us to run m3 specific suspension mods and 5 lug.

Guys .. when this happens get; A\ their number plate B\ contact details / name / insurance if any etc etc ... C\ ring the police as it is classed as an accedent and get a police report. D\ try and get witnesses and their contact details. Call your insurance company with the details and go get your car repaired. Its the insurance companies job to chase it up ... no need to get angry. This is why I take the extra time to find a car park with extra room. Preventitave parking I call it. I have even told the girlfriend that I take extra time when parking the car as i've paid a lot of money for the paint job and dont want it chipped, doors opened on it etc etc .. gladly she totally understands

does your key have a small LED style 'bulb' next to the key shaft ? .. you have the IR remote ... if not you have the radio remote and a replacement IR mirror. in e46's for e.g this changed in 02 onwards.

Precision AutoWerks did all the work on my 330i

yeap .. I hate nothing more than haters... been a victim myself twice last year in the smashed window department. totally sucks :| Respray from the crease down to the gaurd/door molding... will be around 500 yeah.. make sure that its done by someone who's good as you can sometimes see the difference in paint ... however the crease to door moldings will mask any possible blends ..

I love the fact jezza was actually presenting topgear but some poem thing ... HAHAHAHAHA

Hey fellas, I have a set of Apex lowering springs for the e46 6 cylinder range (non m3) for sale. $300.00 firm Apex part number: 20-1200 They are 1.5 years old. Private message me if your serious about them and I'll give you my contact details. I guess you could call them "super low" you be the judge on the photos below These are high qauilty springs that are only slightly stiffer than stock springs. Perfect for lowering your e46 with on standard shocks without comprimising ride comfort.. In otherwords if your after the "look" without the crap handling/ harsh ride these are perfect for you. Im selling them because I no longer need them as im running KW v2 coilovers. Here is a couple of photos of my car when I had them in with the 19x8.5 fronts and 19x9.5 racinghart rear wheels.

What ZF were you looking for ? e36 based one or older style one ?

haha would you believe I use to be one of 'those' 4x4 guys For leaf spring, you have to go to snell's springs and have the leaf's re-shaped and a new slate inserted. you will probably need blocks and longer leaf shackles too. you need 4x4 style shocks that will fit ... probably custom jobs made up for the front, longer springs and shocks. all this is gonna screw the geometery but yeah .. you already know that. and hey its a yank tank with none to begin with I would go see some specialist for this to get the shackles the right length... you will need a cert also.

I use to have one of these too ... and

sounds like the mechanic did the whole thing the wrong way around ... replace sensors first then gear boxes ... Admittaly I still have a germlin in my gearbox after the rebuild. I have put it down to a when the gear box ECU is in "sleepy" mode (around town driving) it thumps second gear after a 1/2 - 1sec pause between changing down. Its better than fine on open road or harder driving ...
