Understood. Its really annouying being on the end of it though. I have rung a few members a few times about things only to find they have even been sold because someone offered more ... end of the day its your item and your sale. But I guess we do have a good thriving community here and most people try to accomodate.

Sweet .. well I know of a couple of members that are actually serious on them. Just want a price is all, and hey you might find you have a closed sale Unless its on trademe .. people around here dont like to be dicked around with who ever pays the most gets em ... hence the suggestion they should go on trademe.

What you want to do is go to either jerry claytons or team mcmillan and ask for a "Pre purchase inspection" will cost you around the same as a AA check and they actually check more than just oil and water and qaulified in the car to actually do so. youll have a full report that is taylored to your model and year of vehicle also what is wrong with it and how much (from the dealer) it will cost to fix .. with no pressure to go with them .. They will also tell you all the things to look out for. best money spent period when buying BMW

glass = ass Reiger kits for the more after market look .. ebay has m3 rep bumpers or spend a small fortune on OEM parts as I did and do a m3 body converion.

This isn't really a problem in the 318's as they dont have enough torque to stress the subframe areas. The problem only manfests itself in M3 / 330 and the occasional 328. The other ways it comes about is people riding around with little or no suspension (cut springs / lowered past 60-70mm) It also again depends how the car was driven. Put it this way, I've had my '00 330i lowered for about 3 years to 50mm and its fine.

e30 m3 front struts are $1600 NZ (just for the struts) new. (go the e36 way on the front) trust me .. its cost me 5k to do the front suspension on my e30. Rear end .. you need to work out what your going to be doing to your car. Are you going down the drag strip a lot? .. If your just squeezing the gas on in third and not launching it or doing burnouts .. the 318ti splines and half shafts will be fine.. if not.. your going to need the heavier rear end. Glenn has done it one way, Brendon and I have done it the other. I can only speak for the m-coupe way. PM me if you want some details .. and Ill see if I can send you some stuff to read

oh that again ... Its a _really_ nice example (seen it in the flesh and sat in it) but 80+k is BS. Dougs 50k white example is in minter condition and is RHD converted with e30 325i parts just as this black one was by wayne gardner racing. It may have been commissioned by BMW aussie to test the market. But it sure wasn't factory built.

thing is ... BMW's dont cost anywhere near as much as they do here. The m5 is something like 70000 new US.

several of ways to do this.. the z3 m-coupe way (expensive, what brendon and I have done) the e30 m3 way (or both) (expensive) the e36 / e28 way (E30-323ti, second hand parts)

Nice wagon my man.... maybe look into some 19inch CSL replicas (toptown sell them) or maybe Work Wheels VS XX ( http://www.work-wheels.co.nz ) And lower about 40-50mm = DONE!
