-
insurance ppl ! Your looking around 2500 for that. However give ray at hell BM a phone he may have all the parts secondhand. Then its just finding a panel beater thats happy to pull that dent out and reform the ass. 021 2 HELLBM

not to dump on the police because they actually have a hard enough job ... but you were in the right in that instance he shouldnt be breaking road rules, the only time they are allowed to is with their lights on and a valid work related reason.

Welcome to the whore that is multi BMW ownership. (oh hang on ! ) Have always admired that car ollie. It sounds great too! I think thats probably the purchase yet out of all of us!

all in all gus as I said in my PM, its a better choice than the current getrag in it now. If you get the ZF m3 one .. (yours is either that or the m50 version) they are as strong as you can get in the BMW range that will bolt straight into to an e30. the zf 6speed will not fit as it is to big for the trans tunnel. drive shaft wise you will have to go the 328i e36 manual or get it fabbed up for about $500 NZ .. out of the stock one and an e36 one ... easy enough to do (what we are doing) e36 / mcoupe diffs are the same pattern wise as e30 ones. nice score I wouldnt worry too much about being down on ratio as the turbo has the power (and potential power) to compensate and infact you wont want a too short a ratio for it.

the key is getting the clear coat thats gone crusty off polish, polish polish .. then getting them clear coated again .. or take them to arrow, brugar etc to do them for you.
-
actually im just going to PM you as I may have help on the 6speed gearbox front also.

nah dont get one new... Europe has em around. you need to get on the parts circuit for germany. Have a talk to Guido Locher ([email protected]) as he has his hands in a lot of pies for BMW in this country. Seriously, that CSL is floating around here somewhere .. and I haven't heard of where the engine went. I'm going to email my contacts too and see if they come up with anything. There is a guy on here who is owns a panel shop down the line and is friends with the person who was selling it. So I could try and find his contact and you could maybe chase it ... like I said it wont be cheap. But is your best option for an s54 in this country unless one is crashed in the near future.

m54b30 ... not s54b32 .... hes after a s54b32.. I was _really_ lucky to get my s50b32. This only way I can see this happening is importing and engine / gearbox or wrecked car. Engines you can get from the europe / germany second hand oh actually that reminds me john, have a hunt around for the person who bought that wrecked CSL. they may stillhave the engine and gearbox lying around. its about 15-20k worth tho :| as I looked into it myself for the e30 at the time of sale.

give keith at jerry claytons parts division a phone and get a quote, you would be suprised ..
-
yeah its ok ... Just becareful with tightening the bolts. its not as ridged as a CF one but you do notice a slight difference certainly in hard cornering .. the car turns in and feels more go cart.

Camber plates and proper suspension components for an e36 are at all the main performance online shops http://www.uucmotorwerks.com http://www.vacmotorsports.com youll need to look into swaybars and replacing your bushes too. (all avalible from those sites) for the wide body .. you are going to need to cut and weld. have you thought of using the circular flare from and e46 m3 ? weld that on and get some good work done ... instant wide body. To have any steering at all your going to need to chop out your wheel cowlings. I would chuck a cage in it at this point .. You have a few options aye for reiger. best one is australia (when I looked into it 3 years ago) http://www.tcca.net.au http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=e...uning%26hl%3Den

3pedals .. liking this new found 08 tech stuff without the attitude .. PS .. I had 1/2 a bottle of wine.
-
nice ... keen to see how it goes ... here are our e30's ones.

What type of strut is it ? 3 bolt top mount type or a the "L" shaped bracket push strut mount type. If your not too sure, tighten it till it bites then give it another half ish turn till it feels right. sorry I've just added a strut brace to my e46 and I used this method ... and it still good after a week you can always recheck it . Mine is a AC Schnitzer style brace. Quite interesting the difference it made, feels slightly more go cart. Mind you I'm running eibach sway bars and coil overs.

its still glass ... Had a look at one of these UK converted cars and the one I saw was coming apart at the seams / rusting in spots that shouldnt rust as the water over time had got through the amount of bog used to blend the glass to the metal parts of the car. Would make a good race car starting point if you where looking for the look. This ones in a sh*t load better condition however.
