  1. oh my ninja edit. seems like thats unrealistic though. seems my only solution is to remote mount the unit and fit the faceplate into the dash, with a loom. aparently old school printer cabeling is recommended, its a good job i work at a computer recycling company! so yeah will probably guve that a go if i cant find one. been looking for the last half hour or so no luck yet
  2. do you have one? do you mind measuring it? I have exactly 3" depth yes very shallow
  3. he knows where he is, why shouldnt we?
  4. I can do them for $60 a set to your door. may be able to do cheaper if all going to the same address. Pretty much everyone here will know that as I have been doing it here for years. Exchange rate is really good at the moment, $120 is way too much, he needs to shop around and/or bargin more. I dont mean to sh*t on your thread by the way, just telling it straight up. Alternatively, if you want me to get them for you, send me a message and ill get it done for you. I do it on a no-much round basis, i will deliver at that price regardless of fluctuations in currency/freight etc. I have done about 10 orders now, and i dont make a profit Edit: here is my usual thread with feedback, orders etc http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....p;hl=europlates
  5. Due to space constraints (wont bore you why) i need a headunit that is no more than 3" deep. Anyone have any suggestions? obviously, will loose CD playing ability but im not that bothered about that. anyone running anything like that and would/wouldnt run it again etc? or if anyone is in the business and can do a deal let me know as well. will go to an audio shop today on the way home and look at some options, but experience is better than a sales pitch. cheers
  6. There must a legal solution for those variable mufflers? 96dB which i think is the legal limit is still reasonably loud. I think the only time you can go over that is if its louder that from the factory, but how many wif officers would know how loud a v12 is. But mine is swapped so that doesnt apply probably
  7. Yup will either be at Lances place or Martys depending on weather etc. pulling dash tomorrow such joy.
  8. For the second one, with lights brought back to original condition instead of the hazed look they have now, they do look pretty presentable for a 15 year old car. As for the first, not a huge fan of any S Class, such a large car is unecessary really. But the 190E and 300E of a similar shape are much nicer
  9. If you mean the part where the amount of kms the car has done is displayed, usually the ribbon cable. Got it done on my E34 a few years back, was a reccomendation from someone on here so if you search you should find it. I think they do a "no repair, no fee" gaurentee on it Need to get mine done too soon actually. But you shouldnt fail a WOF on that though unless your car is diesel
  10. I used a number 13mm socket last time plus tape. Think it was Oli that gave me that tip
  11. There is a bagged one in wellington. I think most euro wagons are hot, but i dont like this either. The 300TE was much better Wtf is that? Looks a bit like the izusu car but i dont think it is
  12. Looks good, BBS RCs probably the only BBS wheel i would buy i think
  13. Yep yours looking good! I was waiting for ya to post because i had honestly no idea where i was lol. I think a Yaris spun out? Im up in Auckland this weekend seeing one of of my good mates that moved up for uni, also Lance just sorting out a few last issues on the wagon.
  14. a silver E30 iS/SE in oriental bay this morning. was driving so no pic. looked tidy
  15. Z4 in dark blue or black. no contest, driven niether.
  16. not at this stage. No need for 3 cars, thats why i sold this one. One toy and one daily, thats enough. Have thought about putting it towards an 850Ci manual gearbox, but to be honest, i'm actually more than happy with the auto in the wagon now. Its a big heavy car, even heavier than a normal wagon let alone a normal E34. and even standard cant throw an E34 around like you can an E30 anyways. so spending north of $4k on a manual setup, its simply not worth that to me. i think a new exhaust and front and (more importantly) rear strut brace, and it will be at a point where i can say its finished.
  17. and its sold as of 5 minutes ago, just left my driveway Mixed emotions, probably the first car i actually didnt need to or want to sell. and off to a guy new to BMWs, but i better not spill the surprise what its getting in it, i told him about here and think he will be along at some stage.
  18. sacrilege. someone had to say it.
  19. i want to know more about the 4.4L V8 one in the questions and answers
  20. that should be fixable? looks like it needed a repaint anyways. if your kit is like the real one, that part is seperate from the bumper
  21. yes everything is the same just the frames, i have sedan door cards. The guy at Novus i deal with said even the main glass for the doors are the same its just the "1/4" glass thats obviously different. but if you find a straight sedan door, cant see why a panel shop cant cut and paste the outer skin. but if a panel shop has to do that, they may as well just remove the dent and/or bog the one you got already not sure if the frame part is detachable, but with everything else being identical, it would be economical for them if it was i suppose?
  22. must be a track day coming up surely
