id take a 2005 Audi over a 2005 BM most days of the week
-
yeah, im not sure if they are heat treated or anything like that which i should be aware of. Mr Makita will easily solve the problem, but is it safe? id rather find out here than at 100km/h

as long as it doesnt drop your engine

would take that back to the shop... they are sh*t chinese quality, only good for 6 months and throw away. only thing i have had in that brand that lasts longer than that is my dolly but thats probably more because i hardly use it. do have to retighten the bolts everytime i do though. gone through two jacks (took first one back replaced it and the second one broke too, on my third now. replaced under warrenty so i dont have a choice now) and a charger cooked one of my batteries. and few other bits and pieces the same story.

Hans makes them guys, give him a text his number above!

im about 80% sure as long as the tread is within the gaurds its okay. most 4x4s have tyres and/or rims that are beyond the gaurds, but the tread has to be inside.but i could be wrong im not a wof inspector edit: this assumes the stretch isnt too much for the tyre etc etc as per other rules. my 4x4ing days were 5 years ago, a bit hazy now

not sure if they even exist, but as well all know, spacers have to be bolt on. i wont be getting cert for them, but at least if they are compliant......... my 25mm spacers are fine, but my 15mm spacers are not thick enough to accomodate factory BMW wheel bolts. Can i buy lower profile head bolts, or is my only option to get another set of BMW ones and machine the top off?
-
yep you can, you could be right. though he has paid for a separate reserve price so not sure.

Not local but: http://garagistic.com/index.php this crowd have all sorts of great e30 bits. they are selling M60 conversion bits now too. let them know _ethrty-andy_ from bimmerfest sent you, you may get a discount as im a moderator over there.

yep $1500 about right for condition, but i would only pick them up if cheap to on sell, i dont like them. those type 3s are pretty hard to come though

i used to in my 320i auto, 450 was pushing it. can get 500-550 in the 316i, have got 600 on a trip to one tank to see John (bellicose)

I dont really trust the fuel gauge in any car though, been in too many run out of fuel situations. i fill the E30 at 400km, the E34 at 4-500miles depending if town driving or roadtrip, and the econovan at 300km. some cars when full it points 10 degrees further round when it is full so when its empty it still looks like its got more. Anyways thats all off topic. dodgy gauges is sometimes a result of loose grounding nuts which are also the mounting nuts on the back of the cluster. id check those are tight enough for a start.
-
not sure if they will fit, but E28 mounts are about 10-15mm longer than E30 ones.. may be worth a try
-
lots of E30s have dodgy fuel gauges, even the ones that work arent accurate most of the time. but yet to see a warning light fail.

Welcome to Bimmersport! yes pretty common issue on these older cars now. If i recall correctly, on E36, they usually have a plastic tank on one end of the radiator that is the expansion tank, and on the bottom of that tank is the sensor, you should see the wire plug going onto it.

auto 320i should be 4.45

cant offer any advice then, someone from the area will be along to help soon......

Jon at JKSE would be your best bet, has all the gear etc http://jksoutherneuro.webs.com -
nothing new plates and tags wont fix. joking aside, its a real shame, but think your fair on your price houndstooth interior wheels and kit all worth a bit, the rest not so much.

can just be adaptions in the ECU, its a free check. my 316i idled like you described, i had it plugged in to check something else and decided to erase adaptions while i was at it and i put it down to that fixing the issue. idled at 1100 initially then after a half day or so of driving, idle had dropped to bang on 700 and it still sits there now. (if you dont have a scanner thing aparently you can just unclip the ECU from its harness, leave it out for 10 minutes or so till it looses its memory then plug it back in, but i havent tried myself. someone thats done it can probably vouch)

ohhhh Wouldn't have thought it would be 'special' enough, sure id take one, but its not an M6. if they let this through then they should let anything through on that basis???
-
sh*t are they worth that much???? my old man has a set of those on his Z32 (i think?) 300ZX, i bet he doesnt know they are worth that.
-
im sure your not lying, but im stuggling to believe that! impressive.
