i recently sold my bog standard 316i, no electric niceties on it at all except 15" weaves for more than what you guys are saying this car is worth. that said, a year or two ago i would have agreed with you though, prices for well kept E30s on the way back up

they wont want to mix with the rest of us inferior 3 and 5 series folk

if its tapping off and on, try MBL8, its not cheap but its birlliant. Very common in Mitsubishi circles. have used it on an M43 several months ago and two days ago on my M70. silky smooth now. but if its tapping all the time then one or more of the lifters are dead, and not reversible.

Yeah, we had a good discussion on the E34 section of Bimmerfest a few weeks back. Pretty well all agreed Meyle or Lemförder are the only brands to buy, more expencive but much better quality so last longer etc.. was worried when i saw an ebay link but should be okay.

thats the ones that go diagonally back right? if so, think i have a right one for a 6 cylinder. otherwise damn cant help you but if you are buying, get the 750i bushings for your current arms they just press out, and are a heavier duty, fitted mine today and seems to be a lot sharper steering, maybe placebo, but they are heavier duty so might as well. 6 cylinder bushings are a different part to the V8 ones, the M5 and E32 ones are different again, but all cross compatible just different grades have got a good condition pair of the other arms that come out straight, always get the support and thurst arms mixed up
-
i wonder if the maplight mirror will fit onto the E34 arm hmmm
-
yes is all legal if you use 100% factory parts for that model and sub model.
-
i dont know that its even possible to upload directly to bimmersport. i have always uploaded to an external site like i use Photobucket. and then link from there

shouldn't be making any noises when its on other than of course airflow. on 1 and 2 settings you really shouldnt be able to hear anything even with stereo off.
-
could be the resistor. or could be there are some fuses on the side of the heater box that could have blown when it seized up. cant remember what side they are on in the E30 been a while since i been behind the dash now. unlikely to be the switch

dead right. no real bad areas i can think of close to CBD, they more out Porirua and to the north of Lower Hutt (yes thats a towns name... lol). Miramar has planes if you are light sleeper, but you would get used to it i guess.

what kit is that? or is that what hes talking about when he says hes designed the car?
-
i can do it and have on my own, but i wouldnt be confident putting my name to it on behalf etc. im trying to think of the name of the guy we use at work but im struggling, will message you when i remember.
-
i know a couple guys down here that can do it, but will be more than a 30 minute wait of course shipping etc. its actually not too hard to do yourself if you have the patience. the 4S a bit more tricky. ive done it a few times at work. but i just get one of the others to do it now. but you have to import screen from china because Apple usually wont sell it to you in NZ unless you are an authorised repair company etc etc

must have come into the country with the 740iL bootlid? because it appears to be on the rego tag or Carjam would say 735i as well. and also it had the ACS740i plate on the car since only 6 days after being first rego'd so would guess it had the body kit work done before being imported too? or maybe the dealer fitted it before regoing. but running the chassis number on realoem says 735i so def what it is. also googled the plate because i remember seeing a facebook photo thread on this car at one stage, came up with a hit that there is a member on here from 2010 ACS740 as well. just call me Sherlock
