I'll let this congo slide seeing as its in between orders anyways. I totally agree with you on that. You guys get your plates for $60 right, they are still custom made, and flown from Germany via 5 other countries to get here, they arent comeing from Lysincs (however you spell thier name) factory here in NZ. But its not them making the money. You can get your existing plate made for approx $30 through them, but if you want to change the style and/or combination thats when plates.co.nz take their humoungous slice of the pie for nothing more than marketing. they do not make the plates themselves. I have already got the ball rolling on this... watch this space in the new year.

Exactly that happened to me about 2 years ago! luckily i had already brought my new house so was moving anyways. decided it was a good excuse to change jobs too seeing as it happened in the work carpark. such a drama for only a 30GB iPod Classic and a wallet with no cash in it (wallet in glove box mind). that ipod was the bee's knees at the time though i suppose.

Nope sold it, was only ever a do up and sell project. Ive come away knowing that if i get another one, it will have to be either the 2.3L and/or a manual. my 316i is easily quicker than it, and despite the fact the merc looks a lot bigger its really not, only about a half inch wider thats it. Only ever used either Startech or Wellington Star Mercedes-Benz when i had mine. unlike BMW, there isnt a wide range of quality aftermarket specialists, even the Merc wreckers seem to more often than not be bundled in with Volvo and VAG rather than on thier own. I would like another one some day though, they are far better specced than an equivalent age E30 and much more refined to drive, but just absolutely nothing under the right foot.

they should do, are you sure they are et22? E30 can tolerate a wide range off offsets unlike other BMWs, i had 17x7.5 et42 on at one point, thats literally the lower limit on 45mm struts. have seen 16x8.5 et0 fit as well which is the other extreme ACSs, even knockoffs, should fit because they are made for that car, or do you have aftermarket brakes?

Of those, im going to bet on it being Lotos White or Light Grey. can do a deal for a pair of tidy leathers as an alternative, but looks like none even wants a pair of mint cloth ones so maybe im holding on to them for no reason.
