  1. Yep, Chery though is the cars, but that brings up a good point.. Its not so much as how realistic my budget is, its more about what they are charging for basic car. The Toyota Corolla is still $35k+ for a basic car, the Focus above is a tenner under $30k, whereas a Chery is $16k with similar or better base spec and even includes leather seats (which is a $4k option on anything out of europe i might add). Despite Toyota and Fords economies of scale with not only the cars themselves but less overheads, why are they over twice as much? Ive driven the Chery, and its not a sack of sh*t. You get what you pay for, but thats the goal in the first place. And before it comes up who cares if the corolla lasts 25 years whereas the Chery may only last 5-10 years... how many original owner cars still have thier car 5 years later, let alone 25 years? The corolla would have lost $16k of value in depreciation over the same period. Not only that, but at $30-40k, you are starting to get into 2nd hand BMW and Merc teritory. Not having a go btw, just sort of stating where im coming from for a daily. Yes i can afford a new Corolla or whatever, but i dont think my E30 is going to need $30k-odd of repairs in the next 3 years, nor do i think the added saftey is worth that either when im in a 50kmh area in that car for 95% of the time i drive it. Then again maybe im off my rocker again
  2. These flash looking but poverty cars would probably have a good market in NZ. Am looking at post-2010 cars for the last 6 months, but you just cant buy a basic car anymore no matter the manufacturer. I just want new car reliability, warranties, and safety but dont want to spend on things like power windows, multimedia cents and triturbo-engines that are standard on eveything these days. Think the spec of an E30 316i which has everything you REALLY need bar the safety of modern cars, and no frills at all. The only cars that have nothing are about two foot long and would struggle to hold the golf clubs that appear to be the standard unit of measurement these days let alone the groceries/pushchair etc. Nothing at a usable size.
  3. Yes they arent blurry like that in real life. for all the hype about how amazing the camera on iPhone 4S is supposed to be, its no better than my old half-megapixel Acer lol im happy to say this is probably the best quality batch that has gone through me to date so thats a good sign too!
  4. if the cars were still rego'd on hold then yeah id agree with Malcolm and Paul, but its the fact they are deregistered so you have to go through the reVINing process i personally couldnt be bothered with. just my opinion
  5. if a bodykit slap on is an S5 then mines an S5 too okay the rough one i saw must have been a fake, or thats had a lot of work done to bring it up to scratch. the one i saw was a manual 540i though, i looked at the rego sticker
  6. lets just say i know where copenhagen and manchester are.
  7. if the car has a trailer socket its almost always the cause
  8. my best remedy was to not park BMWs on the driveway. results are superb.
  9. the numberplate has somehow slipped off its mounts
  10. euro italian. pretty much a waste of time buying second hand except for diagnostic purposes etc
  11. yep i had a good look over that car when it was parked a few hundred meters from my house one day. has unfortunately been treated like a dog though, its very rough some of the skirts broken etc E: that is.... if its the same one. the one i saw looked identical to that...
  12. plates have left Heathrow and they usually come straight to NZ from there, eta in NZ is Tuesday, so will be shipped out on wednesday and youll get them thursday and friday depending on where you are. iirc still waiting on a few addresses too so if you dont see an "address received" next to your name on the first post of this thread, please pm this through to me.
  13. sounds like someones been doing what an open-diff e30 does best
  14. this is from memory from about 8 months ago when i put my bodykit on, but in anycase its quite complicated procedure for what should be an easy exercise. you need to take the numberplate off first and then the two plastic pieces between the foglights and the lower grill part under the bumper, behind which you will find the front towhooks. behind there you should see a couple screws each side to undo, and then the whole front piece comes off. note that the numberplate piece and the grill-like part under it is all one big piece of plastic and the top portion just clicks on clicks off from the bumper. then from there you can take the corner pieces off and then (if you wanted to) undo the large nuts you see to remove the bumper.
  15. wouldnt that be a reason to buy the ones with the german font? for the most part they are almost identical to the untrained (cop) eye, but those scanners wouldnt pick it up. and anyway, there are two legal fonts in NZ, so that in itself will cause issues.
  16. if you want to get in touch with someone thats done ITBs on an M70, google Brian Howat Engineering. his is in a Landrover offroader machine, quite cool! probably youtube videos of it too
  17. its both.. lol. you can play one player but some parts are pretty hard to do on your own. if you have no mates though you can always hire people like the older versions. but you have to be on the internet to play it must be run off the servers or something. experience so far, D2 was better
  18. no it doesnt HAVE to, but it makes it easier.
  19. Are they quite rare to go to the Hamilton yard? in the welly one at any given time of the year there are 3 or 4 E30s and E34s, a dozen E36s etc

    Diablo 3

"Official" Discussion and sharing of gamer tage thread I dont really game at all, last games i finished was GTA-SA and before that Diablo II back in the day and really enjoyed it so i thought id get III and see how it goes seems to me II was better in terms of gameplay, obviously graphics are different. dislike how you can only assign one special skill for each type at a time, but obviously the CoOp play is quite cool and infinite teleports. maybe gameplay experience changes by character type? In anycase, if you have it, add each other and thoughts? add me: ethrty#1381 Wizard
