why is it running crappy? it was fine when i had it. are you sure its the ECU? afaik was dyno tuned and remapped by kerry before i got it and he switched to ITBs, so it is essentially a mythical M50B28 ECU (ie the ecu IS aware of the extra 300cc unlike normal there are two reasons people do it. the first and probably the main one is to get around EWS, there is no EWS on an M50B25 ECU if you get the right one, and, to my knowledge anyway, there is noone that can completely flash out EWS on the M52 ECU worldwide let alone NZ. there may be someone thats popped up in the past few years since i did my swap however the other reason is that, in combination with the M50 intake and throttle body etc which is what your engine has, it frees up another 30 or so peak HP at the expence of a low down torque. this makes fanboys feel good, but really of little use on the road when your not driving around at 7000rpm anyway. i guess what im saying is that if you go to a "standard" M50 ecu it will run but not as well as it could do, and with a standard M52 one is a real pain in the ass to wire up

better off spending the cash on making it corner better etc, though a manual will make it a lot easier to deal with. CAI pretty much a waste of time, even when done right the cost isnt worth it. exhaust may be worth doing if you want about more fart noise and cats are optional in your state.

supposedly parking with the front wheels turned stops them towing RWD cars, is that true? ive never been towed just clamped a few times, which is stupid because the car then blocks the road/driveway/footpath for even longer than it would have before

did you loosen the ring nut thing you can see? its a 32mm from memory. back that off and then slide it together and then do it back up. its a tapered fit which squeezes the rear half onto the front half. ALL rear halfs of E30 driveshafts are the same, manual auto pfl fl 6cyl or 4cyl all the same. if you cant get it together, try pulling the driveshaft apart and measuring how deep the hole on the back half is, and then measuring how long the spline on the front half is. that will tell you if its because your not pushing hard enough or it genuinely wont go in anymore. sounds dirty. afaik there is a lot more difference than 10-15mm between the 3 most common E30 manual driveshafts (excl ZF manual and M10, i havent experience with those) (Edit for spelling)

I would argue that point. I put a medium case 3.67 LSD from an E30 motorsport into my 320i which had a 4.45 factory. bolted right up, didnt need to change driveshaft, and surprisingly not the axels either. mind you, maybe i shortened the driveshaft inside its range of adjustment, i cant remember, I certainly didnt take it to a shop or swap driveshafts though

im not an E34 expert, but i thought the M5 always had narrow grills?

Also need the manual brake pedal. Is smaller than the auto, the auto being a lot wider foot plate
