  1. Yes your sub can be 8ohm if in series (as i instructed earlier) or 2ohm wired as Matt said. At 8ohms, you are getting half the power, at 2ohm you are getting twice the power (in theory, though your amp cant put out that much current and will probably die) Yes thats right, your only options. i wouldnt have used 8 Guage cable btw, thats very small for the current going through it, though you might be right for only 150W. i use 0 Gauge in my wagon the other alternative is to just wire up one coil at 4ohm and leave the other coil connected to nothing, though that will make it quite inefficient id imagine. im not actually sure what would happen if you did that, but you wouldnt blow it up or anything, cant hurt to try. you *might* need to connect the two loose terminals on the same coil together as the other coil will act as an AC generator otherwise, but thats a physics lesson for another day. disclaimer, research this last paragraph first if you do this, i dont know the results having not done it before. works in my head though...
  2. Had a few PMs over the last few weeks for orders, so will open this up again. 10 sets and this group buy goes live, i have called 2 and three people have already showed interest, (those of you please PM me again if you want these), so we are already half way in theory. Please note prices are the same, but the bank account is different so if you have set me up as a bill payee you need to change this. You can pay at any time, and i will refund back to you if this doesnt go live. Have also updated OP with current orders and fixed the dead links of the photos. Chur _b
  3. what happened with this? guessing still only the one company and Graham isnt a tycoon?
  4. In a competition setup you would have a common earthing point for all stereo components, but for ameture setup you can run straight to the battery will be fine Connect the positive of one terrminal set on the sub to the negative of the other terminal set. Then connect the two remaining positive and negative terminals to the two terminals labeled bridge on the amp. Hopefully you havent blown out anything when playing around with it before!

  9. billy HDs are for stock ride height and performance only. you want billy sports. afaik they are actually the same shock just valved differently
  10. your shifter boot it supposed to clip into the center console through the top not the bottom. also, to make the boot get snug to the bottom of the gearknob, i folded it inside out and ziptied the top of it really tight around the shaft of the gearstick, and then folded the boot back down over the top and clipped it into the center console
  11. well to be fair if you look closely at 2:02 its a tech2. maybe its an M325i? edit: on this clip http://tvnz.co.nz/police-ten-7/s19-ep12-video-4853883
  12. that result on the taillights is the best ive seen yet
  13. i wonder if its the low price throwing people off? maybe people assume there is something wrong with it?
  14. do they offer a warrenty on thier parts, or is it limited to the part itself?
  15. Ill try to stay off the Honda jokes.... if you dont feel like rewring the car to make the swap you mentioned worked, you wont be doing any 13b or 5.1L V10 conversions on an E30 either. the M20B25 engine (the 2.5L straight 6 in the E30) is a good engine, but there isnt much aftermarket performance support. most people that want more balls out of thier E30 swap a M50 or M52 engine into it, from an E34/E36 Also those wheels wont work unless you have like 30mm spacers, so no dont keep them. E30 factory wheels are et 35 and you cant go much lower than that. the best E30 wheels are between 15 and 25, though you can go as low as 0 on a standard body with the right tyre combo
  16. new 991 911 today in Petone. struggled to identify it seeing as it looks the same as every other one since the 1970s. taillights the giveaway as it turns out
  17. he used Porsche 944. M52 swap is definately worth it, arguably the best bang for buck swap on an E30
  18. not sure to be honest, you could PM kerry. i am quite sure that it doesnt actually matter whether its auto or manual ecu, as its more or less just an input signal that tells the ecu if its a manual or an auto. everytime the ecu gets reset it "looks" for an auto transmission. that said, im not an expert on that topic and could be wrong, but thats my understanding. must get him to take me for a ride when im up in a few weeks! was a nice car to drive with the M50 in it when i had it
  19. disassembled the front end of the 316i, and learnt how to use EZ Outs. so much for this not being a project lol
