i wouldnt run my car in mine as i like to know my car is 100% legal. That said, (how) does a WOF shop actually tell if its an open/LSD/locked diff? ive never seen them check that at VTNZ before (market themselves as the most thorough and reliable...)

i have a medium case LSD in my 320i (comes with small case from factory). the medium case diff actually bolts straight up surprisingly

wire it using the factory wiring. cut the fan off the wires and then join them to the new high/low wires on the new fan if using just high or just low, iirc the aux fan has a built in resistor to change the speeds, and so the two + wires are both 12V so either one will work, and cap the other off

I like the Overhaulin'/American Chopper that sort of show. Would almost go so far as to say Pimp My Ride, but thats over the top and ricey etc etc. But then again. Top Gear is amazing with its road tests and races against time, boats, planes, pushbikes etc And unfortunately, i think you will find that its the young boy racers with thier big bore exhausts thats going to be your main viewing audience. No idea how you are going to throw that all together though! You could use it to get the message across that illegal is not cool though (just an idea popped into my head, and may help with funding from the police for your show???? idk) good luck!

Yeap a second opinion when you dont know the cause of the problem is always a good idea. and if they are confliciting get a third. applies to all things like this, not just your aircon

^^This Its probably twice the weight of most of the cars on here, and still quicker. The X6 is the only BMW i have liked since the Pfl E38 and Pfl E46. Everything after that has been disgusting. except this imo
