yup its all siemens and for an M52B28. diagnostic port is still present but i dont have a scanner to get the codes. may be able to organise something though. will check over the CPS but the engine ran fine when removed so it should be fine. thanks for the suggestions

dont get the impression i am an autowhore haha. my 320i was auto and i hated it and i loved it when i conveted to manual. I got the impression this was going to be primarily a tow vehicle hence the auto thing. as a DD i would got manul of course! sorry for confusion!

if it was me i think id be leaving it automatic. towpigs are always better in auto imo and it wont cost you anything because you already have the auto box (i assume?)

my swap is 95% finished now. just have exhaust to be fabbed and the following issue to be solved and shes done i have no spark or fuel and is more than likely because of the EWS. can anyone who knows or runs an OBD2 in E30 confirm the ECU needs to be realigned? the ECU and EWS and chip are all from the same car which was running when it was removed so no issue with hardware in itself. anyone in welly know where it can be done? hey all! trust the people following the build will have had the email from the 'fest anyway, but for those that dont, lots of updates since last post, and made the first attempted start today. Click my signature to go to the build thread. if anyone can offer suggestions for the no start that would be great (for the purposes of this, assume EWS is wired correctly)

i like baurs when the roof is up. roof down they look wierd. i saw a pfl baur with a tech2 wing and no bodykit at all last week outside my depot (theres a classic car dealer next door i assume it was there.

if i posted all the rangi things ive done over the years (all 'ill fix that properly later' things, which i have for the most part) id run out of characters? *Volvo lip cut using a belt sander and then zip tied on (since replaced with tech2) *underdash wiring i used packing tape for insulation (since redone) *sub and amp wiring 'tidyed up' using twistieties (the one time i run out of zip ties is the one time id be using them for what they were desgined for!). also since redone *various bolts lost and left unattached. get replacements from the yards for free *etc... also various cases of not so much rangi, but not having the correct tools on hand and improvising. never been unable to get a job done using a jack, a 200piece socket set, a bfh and a hack saw LML

had them lined up but didnt purchase because i was going to try and use something else i had lying around which wont work and the seller has since parted with them. Am after both the top and bottom M50E34 rad hoses, prefer local but whatever. Thanks! Edit also after a 318i/is thermostat (the lower temp version, sorry i forgot the temp! anyone who has one should know). was ment to come with the rad i got but i just noticed its not there.

if you havent got one, go to an engineering tools shop. only place i could find that had them. mine cost me about $20 i think
