if someone has been pinged for fake plates here is your opportunity to send a letter to the police.
-
try and have a sleep between your meals and driving back to auckland. shes told me to send it to your 'wife' so might be a Kenworth in the impound yard next week.

Part 2 on these diagrams is the housing Part 13 is the cable. manual car http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/showparts?id=BG12-EUR-10-1998-E36-BMW-328i&diagId=32_2427 32 32 1 095 825 automatic car http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/showparts?id=BG22-EUR-10-1998-E36-BMW-328i&diagId=32_2427 32 32 1 095 826 so different part number but they are both cross compatible with auto and manual cars, parts diagrams also both dont show a BMW genuine part for blanking. Does seem wierd the one that doesnt require the interlock is also fitted to auto cars..?? all the autos i can recall have had this cable.
-
No, just turn it to off and pull her out

i will have the automatic cable in another one of my parts cars but while a lot of stuff is missing that car is still mobile, dont want to immobilise it just for this. in any case, i feel like this wouldnt be the correct way to convert it, there must be another piece? i doubt the steering column is specific to manual or automatic cars.
-
are you sure they are 5x114? would not be compatible with E30 M3 if they are.
-
all the manual stuff etc along with the M52 is all swapped into my compact and runs fine. Compact was born an Automatic. After removing the cable that connects the ignition switch to the shifter I can no longer remove the key from the ignition. the cable mechanically prevents the car being started in anything but park Checked my factory manual parts car for a blanking nut or similar but the steering column has a casting but no hole. what have you others done? I dont want to fit an automatic cable back in as i will have to source one, all of that stuff went in my metal bin months ago. Cheers

you would assume being a cop that it would be done by the book, prehaps there is an exemption for emergency service vehicles, same as how they are not required to be certified for modifications

I heard on R3v that BMW AG have been making them again due to popularity and are much cheaper direct from your dealer than they were

I have thought that too, but people didnt have a choice if they were or not, if the government picked you you had to go right? -

Hi mate if you want serviced focussed on the customers requirements, speak to Lance, ML Audio Ltd. Former owner of Abtec in lower Hutt before selling his half. 0273833046 He is just setting up so no shop just yet but has all the stock etc. Always good to help out new business if you can!! I brought a bunch of stuff for my E30 last week -
never got why people want to know how many were made.. irrelevant 20 years later when many are written off, wrecked, scrapped etc. Tourings have no issues specific to the touring, some would say the boot lid wiring, but all E34s even sedans get issues with the wiring to the boot/tailgate. 20 years on, E34 probably still one of the most reliable BMWs, very well built, modules rarely fail etc, just cooling issues they share with E36

is your recommendation under the new owners? they changed hands about 6 months ago, now owned by an Indian/Pakistani/some where over that way. -
E46 M3 the better looker, the E36 M3 the better sports car

I have no error codes, possibly loss of low down torque but it's a 728 so it's no rocket even in tip top condition

Cops and the 4 kmh over posted speed limits
_ethrty-Andy_ replied to FIAT 131R's topic in General Discussion
Speed is a FACTOR in all crashes It is not a CAUSE, it's a consequence of poor decision making at the time of driving, choice of tyres etc. -
Disa valve seems to be common to be deleted or the flap removed and left unplugged

The business was not closed due to ill health. There are stories floating around I have heard from various people, Mike no longer answers on the private number I have for him so I don't know any facts.
