Why do MV1s stick out so much on my e46? They're 225/55/17

I see no problem here -
Who could manufacture an adapter plate similar to this?

Paging Hans He ever has an E38 he could model off Sounds like the power bulge officially just became a thing. -

The amount of attention I get on the road with this car has been enormous and people wanting to take a photo of it and get questioned about the car and so on. Dreamer Confirmed

I purchased the engine management system this car used to run, and it was 210hp then, so 240hp now with the link and ITBs sounds about right, however pretty sure thats at the crank not the wheels, 240 at the wheels is well over 300 at the crank, nope not this engine. Having said that, seen this car many times over the years, built by Kerry at Mosens, owned by Jono for a few years now. Awesome car.

E36 M52B28 Misfires once warmed up with decreasing rev range
_ethrty-Andy_ replied to Bushmechanic's topic in Maintenance
this thread is useless until scan results come in, and need to make sure historic codes from previous failure have been cleared and not reappearing sending you on wild goose chase. If they have suggested you change all 6 coils, It would be a fair assumption your previous workshop does not have the correct diagnostic equipment, and will not have cleared the errors, which also casts a bit of doubt in my mind if the crank and cam sensors were faulty, however having said that, replacing the cam and crank sensors with brand new OEM ones in a 20 year old car is only ever a good thing. -
I know a few running modified M5x engines that have deleted that system and using a catch can setup etc. all doable, depends what sort of $$ you want to spend and what amount of research you want to do
-
Possibly will need a B25 loom over the B20, in part due to oil sensor location etc, but other than that should be all the same. May also need to modify the exhaust and/or put a 325i exhaust on, 320i have single pipe 325i dual, cant remember the differences in the headers between the two but from memory are different, however mounting to the head is the same, so you could put the 320i headers on the 325i engine and then run the 320i exhuast. not the correct way to do the swap though.

He can make an E34 dance like noone else can too!

In for power bulge -
Bettter to delete the curcuit as much as possible, its unneeded unless you are in Dunedin, and certainly not on a race car. Lol i can send you all the computer cases you will ever need. Deleteing the Aircon completely is a bit of a pain in the ass, did you delete all the under dash part as well? i usually just remove everything in the engine bay and leave the two pipes coming out the firewall there.

if you loop the hose to bypass the sensor coolant will be flowing through the throttle body = not ideal Need to either delete system all together, or do what I did on my daily, use two cut down bellhousing bolts to remove the thread, then pop them in the end of the two hoses and put a hose clamp on. Goes without saying of course deleting the system is better

Is the misfire coming up when the DME is scanned or not? -
Pulled off crank pulley on the E38, looks pretty sick so hoping thats the source of my engine problems, never thought to look there, had no idea they werent a solid piece of metal like the engines I am used to! Rubber damper is looking a bit sad. Not even going to bother calling BMW tomorrow, I can see BMW USA dealer pricing at $700NZ odd so will be well over $1000 for a pulley here. Found one online for $70US Febi Bilstein, planning to make an order there of parts for other cars so may just get that. Then cleaned the bird poos, kowhai seed pods and leaves from whatever the other tree is off it and its come up good!

the previous owner hasnt drilled holes in the floor. The outer holes there is a plastic cap that screws in there to keep the carpet to the floor, th more inner ones are for the seat bolts.

i generally dislike the american ones, the english shows are good which are on tv but then someone puts online some place, and never miss an episode of MCM, good laid back show for a bit of a laugh, and comedy from a little closer to home too.

really, i like the CSL bootlid very much, of course, on an M3 with the correct rest of the body. a CSL lid on a 318i is no good

If Gareth cant, ill do both including shipping, $40 make sure you are using OEM BMW seatbelts and that they havent been replaced somewhere along your cars life. Edit: have a few kidney grills here too including a black one. Send me a PM if Gareth cant deliver

728i are generally pretty crap spec, unless you get an import one like maybe a singapore one, but then they have thier own problems.
