I got talking to the rep for Bardahl oils at the event today and we where talking about the oil i run in the pug. I was going to be running the Motul V300 in the car next time i did an oil change as it comes highly recommend from those in the racing world that i know. I've been given a good deal on the Bardahl which would make it remarkably cheaper but i can't find any information about it other than the nz website. Bardahl or Motul Thoughts?

Thats actually not too bad a price. Ask him about longer ones? I had 8x 80mm ones sent from the uk for the pug and it was $90 or so.

"Each team is composed of four "gentleman drivers", enlightened motor racing enthusiasts, experienced drivers and fans of the Marque, including Jean-Philippe Peugeot, Vice-president of the PSA Group's Supervisory Board, Stéphane Caillet, ground link technician, Cyrus Ayari, sales executive, and Olivier Perez, Peugeot marketing executive." from the pug press release

The Peugeot team isn't really a serious team, it's made up of non-professional drivers.

Have you looked at the Racetech seats? I've got the 4009 and a 4000 in my 205, your more than welcome to come bum test them if you like.

just something to consider... The half cage will stiffen the rear end of the car a fair bit, and not the front like a normal cage would. Someone will confirm this but: Stiffen the rear and nothing to the front = more over steer....

I've used AutoLign in Mt. Wellington, been happy with their setup. -

Have to say the guys are Berton Automotive are great. If any of you want your cars race prep'd or inspected for race/trackday work i'd go see them. I now have working rear brakes... The handbrake now locks the rear so effortlessly you could do it with your pinky finger alone. I've just been driving around Glenfield playing with the rear bias, removing more and more rear brake as it now locks off the foot pedal! I've got the car currently setup so that it will lock all 4 wheels at the same time, i'm thinking i'll need to take a bit more rear brake out when used in anger. So SO SOOOOO happy to have them working properly now, you can feel the wheels tucking up into the wheel arch!

i keep forgetting is this a street car or a race car? If it's a race car are you going to run a toggle switch for a manual override on the fan? I know it's something i want to do on the 205 via a 3 stage switch (auto, low, high),

What size battery are you using? Fullsize or small race battery? You could try what i've seen on a few cars, where they have used canvas/nylon/whatever webbing/strapping put a metal eyelet into it, then used a couple plate washers and bolted the battery down using that.

Have it drawn by a race series member at the next race event you attend with others present?
-
thats true - wasn't thinking properly... been doing that a lot today. For some reason i missed the point of a raffle of selling cheap tickets. i.e. 5-10 for a chance to win... ignore me...

most people getting an iphone would get it on a plan and as sure it's much much cheaper than that... And those who's contract is expiring with Vodafone, get very heavy discounts on phones. I was offered the new iphone for $150 as an uprade to the 3g one i have at the moment.

We had a retard who was soo whipped at work it wasn't funny we where standing explaining something to him for the 6th time and he got a call from his wife having a go at him for something... cutting to the point... she hung up on him, and to seam more manly he started being all macho after she hung up... He was so stupid that he thought we wouldn't notice she had hung up on him, as the phone shows the active lines with a BIG RED LIGHT... he went on for about 4 minutes before he hung up.

Tengs Tools Championship = starting in June... Think you will make it? From the organisor: "We intend to run a tarmac series again this year, dates being the 2nd Sunday of June, July, August and September. October will be 3rd Sunday - Taxi Racing on a wee hill near Sydney takes out entries when they clash with us. Venues not finalised, but will run motorkhana, autocross, bent sprint, track sprint and hillclimb as usual."
