Someone bought this for $250.00, and now is trying to re-sell it on Trademe for $999.00 I hope someone buys it, this is capitalism at its best!!! Cheers

Hi Martyn Hope you got the 740i all nicely cleaned up, the pictures were not pretty you posted a while back. I have dealt with both SD European and Mosen Europarts in Hamilton a lot, they are both excellent and have an excellent supply of parts (they both deal in just BMW parts. You can get hold of SD European on 0800 269 772, and Mosen's on 07 846 6671. Good luck. Cheers

My favourite is the people who indicate almost when they have finished their move. I know they are just being polite and saying "Hey look, I've just changed lanes". Cheers

Shouldn't this be in the Off Topic forum? Nice 4wd BTW. Cheers

Carl Mine does that from time to time. It is some missing teeth on the bit that winds it up and down. It should start working again soon enough. Mine does it about once a year (only for a day or so). I was told that this happens all the time with E30's. Cheers

Guys Just a reminder to use the PM function for your private chit chat, we don't all need to read it. Cheers
-
Write about it anyway, people love reading about that kind of stuff..a BMW adventure/ roadtrip story. Hell, I'd read it.

The Dixi magazine???Maybe if more clubmembers submitted articles it would be a better read, at the moment it seems to be the same old people time after time submitting articles. After all, they don't write themselves. (hint hint...get your pen out, and write something) Cheers

looks like a Hyundai Tirburon from the back. Otherwise looke very Ferrari like (therefore pretty cool). Cheers

Hi All Thread cleaned up. Please everyone stay on topic, all posts should ask serious questions about this car, and be related to the thread. Cheers
-
I want it to be very dry, but nice and cold. Cheers
-
Yeah, bugger peace and harmony in the family, afterall a car is so much more valuable..... Cheers
-
In fact, go to the special features, or event reviews section of the BMWCC website, you might recognise a couple of the article writers. Cheers
-
hahaha, but you did mention the no forums part, and the cost...both of which I neglected to do so, co combined we provided a good answer. Cheers

the BMW Car Club is the official BMW Car Club of New Zealand. Yes they do have a website (and a very good one at that.... ) www.bmwclub.org.nz

Welcome to the site. Hope you find it useful, and the people on here nice. Cheers

I wouldn't worry about it at all. Is it insured? If so, then don't worry, there are plenty of E30's around should your one go walking in the middle of the night. No offense (there can't be any as I have an E30 as well), but if they are looking at stealing (or any other no good activity) an E30 then really they must be pretty hard up for something to steal, after all they are worth nothing (E30 M3's and other rarities excepted). Anyway, I hope you were just being paranoid and nothing untoward happens. Cheers
-
You could always try Mosens, or SD European (both in Hamilton), you never know your luck. After all E30's are dying everyday, so wreckers must be getting new ones all the time. Cheers

it had 87kW and 213 Nm Torque, and I am pretty sure from memory it had a standard 325i engine with just cosmetic add on Alpina bits.I was very interested in it on the day, so took particular notice. Cheers

I agree with Carl, sounds like a likely explanation. Cheers

Sorry, got confused, getting late in the day after a long few days etc.Cheers

Cheers, I will. I need a holiday!! Sorry, I was way off the beaten path. Guido will sort you I'm sure. My car was visiting him on Monday so he could have a second go at my leaking gearbox (it seems sorted now....and he redid it for free). Cheers

Ewald Is it a 'pinking' noise? I think Andrew was being serious..isn't it pre-detonation?? I looked at the Haynes Manual, and it came up with these reasons: - Incorrect fuel grade (or a bad lot of fuel) - Ignition timing incorrect - Fuel injection system or carburettor in need of adjustment - Damaged spark plugs or HT leads, or incorrect type fitted (Chapter 1). - Worn or damaged distributor components - Faulty emission system - Vacuum leak Hope this in some way helps. Cheers
