  1. Picked this up yesterday for parts for mine and dad's car... everything's still there. Let me know what you are after and I'll give you what I want for it, not asking for much just wanting to cover my money basically. Has a not too bad blue houndstooth interior, drivers seat is a bit funky though only one rip but the foam has collapsed or something like that? Drivers door card is average, passengers ones are ok though. Sunroof panel rust free(gone) Pretty awesome colour. Has some 16x7.5" TSW wheels which 3 have good tyres one is worn to canvas. Superlows sold. M10B18 auto, which is still running and working. it appears to have quite a few replacement parts also. Car has rego lapsed so can't be used on the road. not much useful in here but you never know... I'll get some better photo's once I get it out of it's peculiar park.
  2. I like the exterior of the first one... then I saw the picture of the roof... wat.
  3. I bet that's far, far from every option. My boss had a NZ New 528i (ASE), Oxford Green on stock 16" wheels, had a screen, controls on wheel ect... about the same km's as that... he got 6k for it. Ironically weren't the E39's one of the first BMW to be filled with retarded amounts of electronics that control everything? haha.
  4. Looking like a fuel injector at the moment... uplug injector 1, no improvement.. unplug injector 6 engine runs worse. Removed all 6 injectors and injector 1 is quite covered in carbon and looks like someone has had a go at removing it before.
  5. Nah got no timing light, hopefully can get one. We're trying to work it out now... just popped home to grab all my manuals and sh*t.. need to get the workshop PC going... never enough free time. I've lost your number but help would be sweet. my numbers in the meeting thread anyway if you don't have it.
  6. Sounds like this now... have replaced the Cap/Rotor as his rotor had cracked and fell apart when he removed it. Cap was extremely worn. leads are quite wiggly but could be nothing (has my known good leads on it at the moment) two sets of plugs... they foul up instantly. Sounds a bit like a lawnmower on acceleration. put some more fuel in it and it seemed to stop doing that mad tap at idle. Vac gauge would sharply decrease each snap (probably indicating a missfire.) Internet diagnostics kgo! get it scanned/checkdizzycap Oh and I cleaned out the horrible hose under the intake, ICV, Intake boot and all the other tidbits, I expect it probably still has a vaccume leak and the hose under the intake isn't too flash but it seemed to be sealed up I wonder if bad fuel is doing something here...
  7. I have shiny silver studs sitting on my workbench.
  8. ahh just what we needed...... more old cars keeping the prices up.
  9. Could be one of those irritating people who think they have something that's worth phat stacks when it really isn't.
  10. Probably because nobody wants an M20 powered E34 for 4,000+ I wonder how much in fees he's spent now.
  11. Tried SCA? might be in their Bosch book.... also the belt will cost like $10 from SCA. Vbelts are very generic.
  12. So, there's been this one big annoying issue with my Touring since day one. Some previous retard has scraped along a pole on the drivers side (or something like that) and damaged the rear right door (and someone has tried to repair it and filled it with bog.. and since it's a touring you can't just go buy another door for $50 and bolt it on... I was wondering if you could either change the window frames over (probably a very hard job) or just swap the skin over? not sure if you can do that with BMW doors or not. is there ANY other differences people know of with teh doors? apart from the window frame obviously? apparently the door trims fit and all the other wee bits. (changed a lock actuator before, same as everything)
  13. How much are you after for that Headunit?
  14. Pelicanparts has the same problem... Fuel door hinge and spring for an E34.. $40 USD for shipping!
  15. PFL 4Dr e30 with full AC Shnitzer kit in a very dark green colour. and I think DR Bimmer was following me earlier..
  16. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-...n-566058190.htm $25 from Paul, he also does a set of pads with a sensor for $123.
  17. I think only the early 4 speed automatic transmissions have the A/M/S switches. the later 5 Speed autos have the E/S/* the snow flake is like manual mode, it will always start off in second gear and will stay in second if you leave it in "2" or "3" or "4" but not "D" *it will change all the way up from second - 4th, I don't think it enters 5th, could be wrong. Sports mode also won't enter 5th I don't think. The modes are fairly useless to me anyway. I just leave it in E and drive. when the transmission is "cold" it does enter a warm-up mode where it will hold gears out a bit longer so it can warm up.
  18. Does it have the sports type transmission? I did the same thing.. well dad did. turns out I just damaged the exterior of the case, the locking on bit... I cut the top of the case off so it left me with the rubber insert which guides all the pins... and just stuck it back in the hole.. hadn't moved in over 2 years.
  19. I think they are up under the expansion tank. the sensor isn't very expensive, $40 or so from a good parts store. Might be worth checking over the cooling system as this can cause big issues later especially if it hasn't been done.
  20. I never saw it, but dad said it's just rough in general... blowing smoke and sh*t like that. Just lots of little things nobody can be stuffed with, would probably cost another 2k+ to make it really nice... I mean it's just a Japanese Import 528i... it use to be like 7k on trademe, dropped and dropped and dropped.
  21. My dad looked at that top one, it's a sack of sh*t. Really untidy, not very well looked after. That's why it's been for sale for ever.
  22. Yeah. Depends on the vehicles options, if it has no Catalytic converter it probably doesn't have one.
